10. Blackmail

Jen's POV

Alex: Babe? Are you okay? Why are you crying?

Jen: It's nothing don't worry...

Alex: Okay, I'm not going to force you to tell me, but you can talk to me anytime if you need to, okay?

He's such a sweetheart, I can't lie to him, maybe I should tell him...well, if he really loves me he will stay with me with this mess going on.

Jen: Actually...there is something I want to talk to you about...

Alex: What is it? Is everything okay?

Jen: It's Beau....he's blackmailing me.

Alex: About what?

Jen: Promise me you won't get mad when I tell you this.

Alex: I won't. I'm with you.

Jen: When I was dating Ben Affleck I cheated on him before the wedding with Marc. And Beau found out and he has a sex tape of me and Marc.

Alex: What?! So what is all about "love don't cost a thing" and all that stuff that you always say?

Jen: I know, this is bad...really bad, but I was going through a lot at the time and one thing lead to another and...I end up sleeping with Marc.

Alex: This is so messed up. Look, I'm not going to get mad at you because it was long ago and I want to believe that you changed.

Jen: Thank you papi. And yes, I did change, that was a one-time thing, and there's no way I'm doing that again.

Alex: But, what is the other part of the blackmail, what did he told you to do so he won't post the video?

Jen: That's the tough part...I have to break up with you...

And, it's out. I can't believe this is happening.

Alex: What?! No...no, no, I'm not breaking up with you, I'm not letting that bastard ruin our relationship...our family.

Jen: I know, I'm sorry papi.

Now we are both crying.

Jen: What are we going to tell the kids?

Alex: The truth.

I...I did not expect that answer, tell them the truth? everything? I don't know how they'll handle this whole situation.

After a whole hour discussing what to do, we decided to tell the kids, we are all sitting in the living room and the kids look confused. I just hope they take this good.

Jen: Okay...mm...what's happening is that mm...

Max: Come on!! Just say it, I'm nervous and really confused.

Jen: Beau it's blackmailing me and I have to break up with Alex!

I literally just explode, maybe I said it too directly because the cocos are crying and Tashi and Ella look scared and worried. Ups. This situation is really getting into my nerves.

Tashi: An-and what happens if you don't break up with my dad?

Jen: He will post a video...a sex tape of me cheating on someone...

Emme: What?! Since when are you a cheater?

Jen: I'm not a cheater Emme, I was going through a lot at the time, that's why I did that.

Max: And who did you cheat on and with who?

Jen: Ben Affleck, I was having all these crazy thoughts and wondering if I should marry him or not, and I was going through a really hard time, so I went to a bar and I met an old friend with who I worked with a couple of years earlier...and well, I ended up having sex with that person.

Ella: And who is this mystery person?

Jen: Max, Emme, please don't get mad but it was with Marc...

Max and Emme: What?!!

Emme: So you had kids with the person with who you cheated on your ex-fiancé? Seriously mom?

Jen: I'm sorry babies, things just happened, when me and your dad did that, we never thought we will end up having kids and getting married.

Max: And then getting divorced.

Ella: So what now?

Jen: I guess I don't have any other option but to break up with Alex and be with Beau.

Max: Actually...you do have an option...

Alex: What are you talking about buddy?

Max: What if you guys pretend you broke up so Beau doesn't release that video and this family will not be ruined by a psycho?

Jen: Wow, you watch too many movies Max, but actually...I think it's not a bad idea.

Alex: Okay, but all of us will have to pretend, including you kids, we will tell everyone me and Jen broke up so it's more believable, we'll announce it on social media, tell our families, like if it was official.

Jen: This is crazy. We have to pretend like we are really sad and stuff, but you have to be really careful okay?

Tashi: Okay, but what is going to be the reason you guys "broke up"?

Alex: I guess we'll just say things weren't working out so well and we have been fighting a lot lately so we decided to break up.

Jen: Okay...I'm okay with that...so if we "broke up" we will not be living in the same house obviously, so me and the cocos will move out.

Alex: Okay.

We are all trying hard not to cry, this is devastating and I hate having to put the kids into this mess, tonight I'll move out with Max and Emme so the plan is already starting.

This is really risky and scary, if Beau finds out the truth, he's not going to be happy, at all, and maybe he'll post that video, but I'm a good actress, I know can do this.
