Monday. The worst day of the week. Reluctantly I got out of bed and got dressed. "Morning love." Mum greeted me as I gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Morning mum." I sat down at began on the plate of pancakes whom were standing in front of me. "Some coffee?" She asked and I simply nodded. "You okay?" She asked me and I didn't respond. "Jaimy, you got to open up eventually." Mum sighed. "Yeah eventually." I said. She opened her mouth but closed it as Nate walked into the kitchen. "Morning." He said cheerly. Nate was always one ball of energy. "Morning sweetheart." Mum replied him. I mumbled a morning.

"You ready?" I called for Nate. "Yeah, one second!" I heard him shout from upstairs.

"Come on." He laughed when he ran from the stairs to the front door. Told ya, one ball of energy.

"You have to talk to mum y'know. She's only trying to help you." Nate said when we drove to school. I sighed. "You heard that huh?" I saw him nod in the corner of my eye. "It's been months but it doesn't make it any easier." "Talking about it would make it easier." He said. "I talk to Ashley." I argued. He raised his eyebrows. "Yeah, cause she's so mature. You need to talk to an adult J." "I know, but it's just easier talking to Ash. She listens, says a few words and that's it. Mum wants to talk for hours." I explained to him. "I know. Just tell her then." I know he is right, to be honest I don't know why I don't talk to her. It's been ten months now and I can't think of anything else. Honestly it's frustrating, I just want to forget him. "Good luck today." Nate said as he stepped out of the car. "Thanks. See you at home."

"Hi Jaimy." I heard a familiar voice as I placed my jacket and bag in my locker. I grabbed my English books. I closed the locker and was greeted by a happy face that belonged to one of my best friend. "Hi Ash." I fake smiled to her. "Don't be like that. You don't have to fake for me." She sighed. "I know, I'm practicing." I shrugged and she chuckled. I shook my head a bit to her reaction. "Let's go."

As we were walking towards Mr. Williams' classroom I was a person I was not ready to face today. I tried to avoid his gaze but knew I failed as I heard him shout. "Hi Jamesetta!" He shouted through the hallway and you could hear a few people laugh. My full name is Jamesetta Evangelina Jennings. Yeah, I know it's awful. The few friends I have call me Jaimy, JJ or simply J. "Get lost Dave." I heard Ashley growl. That was a mistake. You saw his face change from happy to annoyed. He exchanged some looks with one of his friends and they pushed Ashley away when they were close enough. "Leave her alone." I whispered. "What was that Jennings?" Dave said to me. I didn't respond. All I could do was stare at the ground. Suddenly I was pushed into the lockers, Dave holding me by my left shoulder. "I asked you something." He growled. "I said l-leave h-her al-one." I stuttered and I mentally slapped myself. I wasn't always this weak, I always could stand up for myself, but I just didn't want to anymore. "Leave her alone?" He laughed. "O but honey, we have no intension of hurting her." I squeezed my eyes shut, preparing myself to get hit. "Davis!" I suddenly heard someone shout. It was Mr. Williams. Dave immediately let go of me and looked all innocent. "Principle office, now." Dave glared to me and walked past Mr. Williams to the principle office. "Don't you all have a class to attend?" He raised his voice and everyone rushed towards their classes.

"You okay?" I heard Ashley ask. "Yeah." I shrugged. To think to day just started sent shivers down my spine and not in a good way. I hated this school.

As we walked into Mr. Williams' classroom we walked straight towards the left corner. "Hey." Thomas and Evanora greeted us. I weaky smiled and took a seat. "What happened?" I heard Thomas whisper to Ashley. "Not now." I heard her reply and I sighed. Just let this day be over.
