"Mum, I'm home!" I shouted as I got through the front door.
"She's in the kitchen." Nate said as I walked into the living room.
"Hello to you too." I greeted him and he stuck out his tongue. I shook my head at him and walked towards the kitchen.
"Hi sweetheart." Mum greeted me. "Bring your bag upstairs then meet me at the front door. We're already a bit late." She said after taking the last sip of her coffee. "Okay."
"We'll be back before dinner, I want you to have finished your homework when we get back okay?" I heard her say to Nate as I walked down the stairs.
"I'm ready." I said as I walked towards her.
"Great. Let's go." Mum said to me. "Do your homework." She said one last time to Nate before spinning on her heels, walking to the front door.
"So why do you want me to be there?" I began as she stopped in the parking lot. "Because. You'll see once we get inside." She said and unbuckled her seatbelt. I sighed but got out of the car as well.
We walked into a big building I used to go to quite often when mum brought me with her when she couldn't find a nanny. We walked through the big reception, into the elevators. The doors closed at my mum pressed '6'.
"6? We're not going to your office?" I asked her as I remembered she is on the 8th floor. She just shook her head, not saying anything. When we left the elevator we walked past a double glass door. Behind the glass door there was a desk with a woman behind it.
"Hello Mrs. Jennings. Mr. Jones is waiting for you." The woman behind the desk said.
"Thanks Lisa." Mum said to the woman and she opened a brown door. Mr. Jones is in the same building as her? So why did she need to call Andrew to ask if he knew Dylan's agent? Why didn't she just stop by?
"Jaimy?" I heard as soon as I entered the room. I looked at my right and saw a slightly familiar face. I looked at my mum and she nodded.
"Don't you remember me?" He said, almost hurt.
He pulled a funny face and then it hit me. "Andrew?" I exclaimed. Totally unaware of the other people in the room.
"Yeah! You've grown so much." Andrew said and he pulled me into a hug.
"You turned grey." I said and he playfully glared at me.
"Your mum told me about Jayden. I am so sorry, you didn't deserve that, neither of you did." Andrew said to me and my smile faded away.
"Thanks." I whispered, looking at my feet. It was still hard, thinking back about Jayden. Andrew was the one who pushed me to talk to Jayden before we started dating.
"He was a lovely guy." Andrew added as he pulled me into another hug.
This time it was for comfort, I knew it as soon as I felt him squeeze me a bit. That's when I felt my tears well up. He wanted to pull away but I held on to him. Not wanting him to see me cry.
"Hey, I know you since you were little, little one. Don't be ashamed, I know he meant a lot to you." Andrew said and I pulled away.
"Here." He said after he grabbed a tissue. "Don't wanna ruin your make up now, would we?" Andrew said and it made me chuckle. "You want me to get you a hot coco?" He said with a pitched voice. He always said that when I used to be sad. It made me crack up.
