Chapter Three

"Okay, so is everyone's phone charged? If we get separated from each other we can call each other." We all checked our phone and everyone's phone was charged. "Let's go." Mrs. Lavareaux said and we began our journey to the comic con hall through the beautiful town San Diego. Half an hour later we arrived at the convention center. Dang, it's crowded. It took us while to get in, but finally we managed. This is my first time at the convention, so I'm quite impressed. Before I knew it was 4 pm and my mum said we needed to go to a certain room. "Mum, where are we?" "We are at the Harry Potter fandom panel. Now, there won't be any actor from Harry Potter, but I thought maybe this would be interesting." "Okay, great." I said excitedly. Once inside the panel almost began immediately. We listened to a few people talking for about 45 minutes when suddenly Jason Isaacs who play Lucius Malfoy showed on stage and we freaked out. "No actors huh mum." I grinned at her and she rolled her eyes at me. "Thanks mum."

Before we knew it was already 8pm and we headed to our hotel and decided to get some drinks at the bar. "There is so much to see, I can't believe we just had 3 halls." Nora said. "Right! This is so amazing." Thomas responded to her. "We still have a day and a half." Mum said and I looked confused at her. "We're going home on Saturday?" I asked her. "No, but you'll see." She smiled and exchanged looks with Mrs. Lavareaux. I looked at Thomas, Nora and Ashley. "We don't know either. We know as little as you do. It was also a surprise for us." Thomas said in defends. I glared at him. "No really." Ashley said. "Okay fine." I gave in. "Mum, can I have the keycard? I am exhausted." "I'll walk ya Jaimy." Thomas offered. "Yeah sure."

"You okay?" Thomas asked when we walked back to my room. "Yeah. He crossed my mind a few times. Haven't really been somewhere without him the last few months, but it's okay." I said to him. "Everything will get better now. I promise. It's just so nice to see you smile and enjoy things again." Thomas said. "I know, it's just a shame it took me almost a year to even smile. I'm glad mum made me talk to uncle Colin." "Don't think about the past, or what could've happen and what if. Just start living in the moment and the future. I'll be there with you every step of the way, being the amazing friend I am." He chuckled and I laughed at him. "Thanks T."

He gave me a hug when we arrived at the door and I felt him kiss the top of my head. "Goodnight Jaimy." He whispered. "Goodnight T." I whispered back. Why were we whispering? He turned around and walked back to the bar without another word. Weird..

The next day we arrived at the convention center at 10 am. We started at the hall D today, because that's where we left yesterday. We walked around there for about 2 hours then got some lunch before the next event mum has planned started. We all got some sandwiches and sat down on the ground somewhere because there wasn't really a table free for 6 people and my feet were still a bit sore from yesterday. After half an hour or so we made our way to room 6DE. "So, Ashley would like this one very much. It's marvel related." Mrs. Lavareaux said and I saw Ashley's eyes going wide. "That's awesome. Thank you, both of you." She said to my mum and Mrs. Lavareaux.

After the panel we continued in Hall E, secretly I was a bit excited for the nickelodeon stand. I may be 19 years old, but it's my guilty pleasure. Today we went a bit early to the hotel, ate dinner and went to sightseeing San Diego. Mum said we have a lot planned tomorrow, so after sightseeing San Diego for a bit we went back to the hotel at 10pm. "Get a good sleep everyone. Tomorrow is going to be a blast." "Is tomorrow the Teen wolf panel?" I asked excited. "You'll see, remember that we still have Sunday." Mum said, with that she turned on off the light. Okay, I guess no more questions.. Ashley and I talked a bit longer about the past few days and after a few 'shhh' from Nate we slowly drifted off to sleep.
