"We found a way out of the contract." Dylan's face broke out in a huge grin. "W-what?" I stuttered.

"What are you talking about?"

"We found another beard for Colton." Dylan said.

"Well, not really a beard though, if she caught us saying that into her face she'll cut our balls off." Colton added and they both chuckled.

"Th-that's great, but what about the part of the contract that forbid us to have even the slightest of contact?" I asked them. "What about my mum?"

"We haven't really thought about that, that's why we need your help." Colton said.

"There is no way my mum would be okay with any of this." I looked at the hands in my lap. "There is a reason why she doesn't want us together." I added.

Dylan and Colton exchanged a glance. I took a deep breath. "Jayden isn't just an ex-boyfriend." I looked at Dylan, since Colton already knew this. "This isn't how I planned on telling you. Jayden passed away a year and a half ago. We were celebrating my birthday that night and he went outside to get wood for the fireplace. He didn't return, so I went to look for him. I guess he slipped because his head was bleeding. He died after being in a coma for a week. I never got to say goodbye to him." I smiled to the memory of that day before he died. Cuddling in front of the fire place. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts.

"Anyway, my dad died when I was two. He died in an accident on set. Can't remember much, since I was so young, but after Jayden passed, I can only imagine what it's like for her. She doesn't want me to date you because the same can happen to me. You're an actor, sure you're going to have stunt doubles, but there's always a chance something can go wrong." I finished and Dylan went to sit next to me.

"I'm so sorry." Dylan said, pulling me into his chest. I looked over at Colton and he shot me a smile.

"Don't be. I've put it behind me, well at least I thought." I chuckled a bit, wiping the tears from my eyes. "Ugh, I cried way too much today."

"Hey, you're allowed to have a good cry once in a while." Colton said, placing his hand on my knee.

"But she can't forbid you for that reason right? I'm sure she thinks she's protecting you, but the same can happen to Colton. He isn't your real boyfriend, but you became really close. I'd be almost like actually losing a boyfriend. A best friend at least." Dylan said.

"I know, that's exactly what I said to her, but she wouldn't hear it."

"What if the three of us talked to her? Give our opinion, arguments why the two of you should be together." Colton offered.

"I'm afraid she'll repeat the same she did a few months ago."

"What did she say?" Dylan asked as he played a bit with my hair. I closed my eyes as I leaned into his touch.

"'You two can't be together.'" I said, mimicking my mother.

"We'll figure something out." Colton said.

I wish I could believe him. Mum can be stubborn with these kind of things. In some way I understand where she is coming from, but still. If that's her reason, then I shouldn't date anyone. I sighed, there must be something that can convince mum that it's always risky to date someone. They can get in an car accident or die of cancer.

"What did Bratt say about us?" I asked Dylan.

"He wasn't too happy about it, but after a long discussion and after I pointed out I'm already a private person, he sighed and agreed."
