(Tis a picture of River)
'Heres a little song I wrote, you might want to sing it note for note, don't worry, be happy'
The song was like a soft lullaby lurking me into a deeper slumber.
'I'll, Fuck these bitches, and I'm fucking all these hoes'
I shot up out of bed. That was a rude awakening. Pulling my phone out of my pocket, I turned my alarm off. River had made a playlist on my phone so that my alarm would play those songs on random days.
What a lovely day this is going to be.
I pulled my new uniform out of my duffle bag and get dressed. Not even bothering with my hair, I pull my messenger bag out and throw it over my shoulder.
Groggy I stumbled out the door, almost forgetting to lock it, almost. It had been a month since we came to Japan and I was just starting my first day of school. Weird huh?
It took a month for me to learn the damn language. (Yeah I know that's not realistic but bear with me.)
I was still half asleep when I arrive at the school, nothing had changed overnight so I was glad to find out the country wasn't blown up while I was sleeping.
Hey, it could happen!
Senior classes were a bitch, that was for sure. However, I that I had already learned everything that they were working on right now.
*-.Time skip.-*
I yawned and looked at the clock in the hall. It was my break period and I was spending it leaning against a wall on the freshman floor. Why? I have no damn clue.
Then, out of nowhere, an orange tangerine jumped up into my face. It scared the shit out of me. I looked down to find a freshman with bright ginger hair. Huh, I could've sworn it was a tangerine!
He jumped in again, "Kageyama, look. Woah, you so tall! Holy crap, Kageyama look at hi- OUCH!!"
"BOKE HINATA." A tall blueish almost black-haired kid walked up behind him.
He reminded me of a cat while Hinata was the mouse. Kageyama stood in front of me and bowed pushing Hinata's head down making him do the same. "I apologize for his actions."I let out a tired sigh." It's alright," after all., I must look like a giant compared to him. He was....small? Yup. Those are the correct words.
The bell rang so I pushed off the wall and stood up straight. Hinata and Kageyama jump in surprise. I chuckle at their reaction then tread to the senior's floor. The last class of the day was college prep.
Though my parent were lawyers, I wanted to be a teacher. As the drill goes I had to wait for the teacher to call me in. "Good morning class, I'd like to introduce our new senior, Hunter Jasper. Please treat him with respect. You can come in now." Mrs. Page summons me in.
With another yawn, I walk into the classroom and bow. "I'm Ja-Hunter Jasper. Please take care of me." I could tell the teacher was pleased with my manners. "Alright Hunter, please sit behind the boy with glasses, Tsukishima." My gaze follows to where she was pointing. If I hadn't known any better, I'd say he's a tsundere. Just by the scowl that is stuck on his face, I can tell he's a salty person. Salty people and I do not mix well.
I went to sit behind him and wondered what in the world he was listening to. I could almost hear the words that were blaring in his ear. As I stared at him a bit longer, I realized he was kinda hot.
"TSUKISHIMA KEI, IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THOSE HEADPHONES OFF RIGHT NOW, I WILL CONFISCATE THEM!" The teacher yelled. However, he paid no mind to her as he stared out the window.
Mrs. Page got an irk mark. Before she could march over to him, I yanked the string on his headphones making them fall onto his shoulders. He turned to shout at me but Mrs. Page cut him off. "Thank you for actually listening for once. And because you took your headphones off I won't confiscate them. Now class, open your textbooks to page 183."
I felt somebody's gaze drilling holes into my head as I dug through my bag for my textbook. As soon as I found my book, the gaze was gone. Raising an eyebrow I focus on what the teacher was saying.
Finally, after 55 minutes of excruciating boredom, the bell rang. Quickly I gathered up my things and headed out the door before anyone could talk to me.
I took the route towards the gyms because that was the way towards the middle school, and I took my sweat time if I might add. The squeaking of shoes, however, caught my attention as I passed a gym.
Taking a quick peek inside might be either a good idea or really terrible fucking idea. Deciding to take a peak -since the gut man didn't need to appear- I was amazed to find out that it was a boys volleyball gym.
"Hello, what can I help you with?" I turned my attention towards a girl with black hair and glasses. Her eyes looked like deep pools that you could get lost in. She was pretty I'll give her that, but sorry, I'm gay.
I shake my head. "No, I just happened to be passing by and hear them playing. They're hella good too. However, that quick attack is fucking freaky." I had noticed that Hinata and Kageyama were playing and that Hinata was hitting quick attacks, that Kageyama set, with his eyes closed. I could jump fairly high, but considering that he was half my height, that kid could fly.
"Ah, you know how to play volleyball?" She asks me. I nod my head, not taking my eyes off of them. The moment I did a ball would come hurling at us. Gut man was back.
"I haven't played on a team since I was 11 though so, I'm a little rusty." I take the chance of looking at her and introducing myself. "I'm Ja-er- Hunter Jasper."
Damn Japanian's! Switching the names so everything is backward.
"Kiyoko Shimizu, the manager of this team." My phone goes off interrupting our awkwardness. I pull it out and answer it. "Jasper, you were supposed to be here 10 minutes ago. Where are you?" River's voice sounded a little pouty on the other end of the phone.
I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT HER!!
"Sorry River. I got a little sidetracked. I'll be there in 5 minutes and if I'm not, start walking to the Highschool. "
I could feel her roll her eyes as she said "Yeah, Yeah. See yah." Doot, Doot, Doot, Doot.
As I walked out the door, the feeling in my gut intensified. "Ah, um, Kiyoko. Watch out for the flying ball."
She looked at me confused but I didn't stop to see the results as I rushed out the door.
*.Meanwhile with Kiyoko.*
Just as Jasper walked out the door and bid her a warning, somebody called, "KIYOKO-SAN, LOOK OUT!"
Kiyoko barely had enough time to duck at a ball that came hurling at her. The speed of the ball made a loud crack as it hit the wall. Kiyoko just stared at the ball, astonishment, and shock was written all over her face as she remained crouched on the floor.
"Kiyoko-san! Are you alright? I'm so sorry." Asahi rushes over with the rest of the team. Sugamama takes note of her state and crouched down to her level. "Tell us what's wrong. Your not hurt are you?"
Breaking out of her shock she shakes her head and voices her thoughts. "That boy, the one that just left in. Hunter-Kun, he just predicted that a ball would come at me. He predicted just before he left, and it happened."
The others looked at each other. Surprise and disbelief were written on their faces. "That's not possible Kiyoko-senpai, nobody can predict the future," Hinata said as she stood up.
"Hmm, maybe your right but..." she trailed off and stared out the door. "I want to know for sure, he may just be what we are looking for."
