4 months later

Tsukishima sat next to Jasper's hospital bed. The doctors had said that he should be dead, however, the backpack he was wearing, stopped the car from snapping his spine into two. He was very lucky to be alive. 

Jasper had shielded River from the car, but the fall had broken her left arm and leg. Tsukishima and Sugawara had been taking turns caring for her while Jasper was in a coma. He sighed and grabbed Jasper's hand, "Wake up soon idiot. Everybody is waiting for you."

Even though Jasper was supposed to have graduated Highschool 2 months ago, he hadn't been there to graduate. So technically he was still a high schooler even though he was officially 18, his birthday had been last month.

Tsukishima changed out his flowers and looked at all the gifts that had been left for him. He chuckled sadly, he had already had to take home a box full of stuff, and yet, they kept coming. Jasper was very loved, even if it weren't his parent's love, everyone else made up for tenfold. Tsukishima left the hospital and headed home. His birthday was in 2 weeks and Yamaguchi and River had a plan to cheer him up. Though, neither of them knew what to get him.

At Kurasuno's gym

"Okay, so we all know that since Jasper is in a coma Tsukishima is taking it the worst, and with his birthday coming up, we need to make him as happy as possible so he won't think about it," Daichi instructed. The rest of the team nodded, as well as Kenma, Kuroo, and the Pack Runners. They had all gathered to discuss the plans for his birthday party.

"I have already gotten his parent's approval to hold it at the beach. So now for the jobs, each of you shall be getting him a gift, no exception." River leaned forward in her wheelchair while stating the obvious. She then turned to Suga who was about to give out assignments, he nodded and began talking.

"Hinata, Yamaguchi, Kageyama, and River, you're on distraction duty. Pack Runner's, if they need help, help them. Kuroo and Kenma, you're on decorations. I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but Noya and Tanaka you're on cake duty." They high-fived while Suga looked at Asahi, silently telling him to make sure they don't screw up. "The rest of you, help with decorations"

"AYE!"

Suga turned to RIver and motioned for Yamaguchi to come over. "I need you two to keep an eye on Jasper, keep Tsukishima away from that hospital as much as possible. It's not healthy for him to be there all the time, and River, when you go over there today, make sure he's eating properly," They nodded in response, a new determination set in their eyes.

So over the next to weeks, the former first years had pulled Tsukishima into whatever fun event they were doing. Tsukishima slowly became snarky again, "You know shrimp, I think you're getting shorter." Tsukishima commented after picking up his towel. They were currently at the beach, the same one they were going to hold the birthday party at.

At the current moment, they were walking to the party. "What! You're just getting taller!" Hinata exclaimed and jumped on his back bring him down on top of Kageyama who crashed into the sand on top of Yamaguchi.

♡Meanwhile with River and Sugawara♡

Suga was busy setting up a table when his phone rang. He wiped his hands on his swim trunks and pulled out his phone. River hobbled over on her crutch, "Suga? What is it? You look as if you've seen a ghost." The rest of the boys turned to him, pausing what they were doing.

"It's a miracle. Jasper just woke up! He announced." Everyone let out a cry of happiness and relief. "The doctor said he would be free to go next week. Just in time for Tsukishima's birthday party." He put the phone in his pocket and wiped his tears.
