They all walked to school together the next day. River made up a plan to keep Yamaguchi and Tsukishima away from each other, and she filled Jasper in on it when Tsuki was in the bathroom. She had figured out both of their schedules and decided whenever she saw Yamaguchi she would give him a task or distract him. If Tsuki was feeling down because of Yamaguchi, she would distract him. If Yamaguchi tried to talk to Tsuki, she'd leave that to Jasper to stop him.
Considering Jasper had only one class with him, she was determined to protect him just like her brother did to her. So she decided to join him in his classes.
"Hey beansprout, what do you want for your birthday?" She poked him in the cheek, disrupting his thoughts about Yamaguchi with the completely random question. For some reason, she always disturbed him when his thoughts drifted to Yamaguchi.
Tsuki took his headphones off and stared at her. River raised an eyebrow worry started to take over her. Did he know? If he knew would he try to stop her from helping? "Are you..." Her heart clenched.
"Are you a psychic?"
River fell over her chair in shock as if she had just gotten an arrow to her head. She raised a trembling finger at him, "Y-You." She wasn't afraid, she was just trying to contain her anger at his stupidity. "YOU IDIOT!" She chopped him on the head over and over again as if she were trying to prove a point. Tsuki just laughed as her gentle stikes hit him on the head. Thankfully it was lunchtime and they had successfully avoided Yamaguchi for the whole day. However, it was Volleyball practice that would be hard.
She grumbled as Tsuki pulled out his homework. He had forgotten his lunch money at home so Jasper was getting them all some lunch with his money. THough, Tsuki didn't know that. He assumed Jasper used his parent's money but in reality, he was using the money he earned from working after school.
"Where the hell is he?" River silently cursed, it wasn't often she cursed in public, but she was hungry. suddenly the classroom door slid open and in walked Jasper.
Only, he was sopping wet and soaked to the bone. The class starred at him and whispered as he walked by and placed the lunch trays on Tsuki's desk. Tsukishima slid off his headphones once again and looked at him from head to toe. "What-"
A cold hand was placed on his head, "Nothing for you to worry about. I tripped over the janitor's mop bucket, nothing serious. Tsukishima wasn't dumb though, he may act like it, but he wasn't stupid. "A mop bucket can't soak you from head to toe idiot. "He grumbled and stood up but Jasper pushed him back down in his seat. "Aww, come on. Don't go all detective on me. I'll be right back, I just need a spare change of clothes. Nothing the nurse can't fix." He left the room with a smile and the whispers begun.
"Poor Hunter, he's such a sweet boy."
"I wonder why he's being bullied? He's so kind to everyone!"
"I bet it's a girl who is crushing on Tsukishima."
"Well, that asshole should know that Tsukishima's gay and so is Hunter!"
"Aren't they perfect for each other though?"
"Yeah, if I knew who was bullying him I'd kick their ass."
"Not if Tsukishima does it first. Or his sister, she's a little demon."
They glanced nervously at River and jumped out of their skin when they saw her. Tsukishima looked at them confused before turning to River. He almost fell out of his chair when he saw her.
