Life didn't go as planned for anyone.
Lana didn't plan on being a lifeguard at the Hawkins pool or even still living in Hawkins once she graduated school.
She sure in the hell didn't think she'd be dating Billy Hargrove either.
You ask her months ago, Lana would have laughed.
Billy would have too.
But he would have begged for it.
Billy fell in love with Lana the moment he saw her.
He was sure of it.

Billy didn't plan on still living in Hawkins.
He wanted to move back to California, away from his poor excuse for a father.

He honestly only stayed because of her, although he thought She didn't know that.
And although he didn't know it, Lana carried guilt from it.
Her parents still hadn't come home from their business trip.
He knew how worried sick She was.
There was nothing Billy could do but try to comfort her in his way.

Steve didn't plan on working at Scoops Ahoy.
His parents were extremely disappointed in him.
Go figure.
All of the colleges He applied for denied him and secretly, he was relieved.
Steve didn't want to go to college, he didn't want any of that.
He didn't want what his parents wanted.
All He wanted to do was protect Lana and the children.
