The children had pleaded to stay and help but Jim and Joyce wouldn't allow it.

"Protect her, Hop."
Joyce said pleadingly, her voice cracking and Jim pulled Her into a hug.

"I'm gonna try."
He murmured, trying to hold back tears.

Joyce took the children back to her house.
Jim looked at Billy, Steve, Robin and Gavin.

"He's latched onto her. We have nowhere to hide. But we know now he doesn't want that building burnt down."
Jim told them.
Lana was standing next to Jane and she held Her hand.

"We better do it quick, he's coming." Lana said and Billy put his arm around her.

"How can we get rid of him though?" Gavin asked and She sighed sadly.

"I don't know. All I know is we need to burn that building down."
Lana answered and Gavin nodded.

They all got into Jim's truck.
Billy, Steve and Gavin rode in the back towards Steel Works.

Jim stopped by the gas station and quickly filled up six jugs of gasoline.
They then took back off, the clerk staring at them all strangely.

"You have enough energy to do this?" Jim asked Lana morosely

"Do I have a choice?"
She asked him back and he sighed.
He had to tell her.

"Lana, I've been lying to you and I need you to know I did it because I love you."
Lana stared over at Jim strangely.
