Grandpa J," Jayden said, his voice filled with excitement and love.
Bella's eyes widened in astonishment. "My God! That's Grandpa J," she declared to Jayden, her voice filled with awe and happiness.
-----Chapter 8.2
Jayden Salvatore-Whitlock let out a delightful giggle as he observed his beloved grandmother. The young boy couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between his grandfather, whom he had never met, and his dear papa.
"Papa looks just like grandfather J," Jayden exclaimed, his voice filled with innocent wonder.
With a warm smile, Isa, Jayden's grandmother, responded affectionately, "Yes, my dear sport, he certainly does bear a striking resemblance."
Curiosity sparked within Izzy, as they inquired, "Jayden, are Aunt Tricia and Uncle Dean here as well?"
Jayden, always eager to share information, nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, they are outside engaged in a lively conversation with Uncle Cornelius, Aunt Sarah, and Lily," he replied, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
As the conversation unfolded, Izzy couldn't help but notice a sudden change in Jasper's demeanor. The usually composed and confident Jasper appeared slightly nervous, causing Izzy to grow concerned.
"Jasper, my dear friend, are you alright?" Izzy asked, their voice filled with genuine concern.
With a hint of unease, Jasper responded, "I'm just fine, my dear Izzy. Everything is peachy."
Not wanting to dwell on Jasper's sudden shift in mood, Izzy emerged from the house, carrying Jayden on their hip while tightly gripping Jasper's hand.
Ahead of Izzy and Jasper, there were five vampires. The first vampire to turn towards them was a slender and tall woman, possessing an athletic build that stood at an impressive height of about 5'10. Her striking blue eyes and white blond hair cascaded down her back, reaching the middle. This vampire was none other than Lillian Whitlock, the youngest sister of the Whitlock family.
"Lily!" Jasper exclaimed, his voice filled with shock and awe.
In response, Lily reassured him, her thoughts echoing in his mind, "I promise you, Jazzy, I am here ."
Jasper held his little sister tightly, finding solace in her presence amidst the chaos.
The second vampire to turn towards them was tall and possessed a highly muscled physique. His brown hair fell just below his shoulders, complementing his piercing grey-blue eyes. This vampire was Cornelius Whitlock, the eldest of the Whitlock brothers, who tragically met his demise when Jasper was only sixteen.
"Hello, brother," Cornelius greeted, his voice filled with warmth and familiarity.
Neil," remarked Jasper, his voice filled with surprise and curiosity.
Cornelius, being the affectionate older brother that he was, immediately pulled his small brother into a warm and comforting hug.
"What happened to Michael and Eleana?" inquired Jasper, his eyebrows furrowing with concern.
Lily and Cornelius locked eyes, their expressions mirroring the confusion and worry that lingered in the air.
"We have no idea," Lily responded, her voice tinged with a hint of frustration at the lack of information.
As the seconds ticked by, a second vampire gracefully approached Cornelius, her presence commanding attention. She possessed an athletic build, standing at approximately 5'7, with long, luscious curls of blonde hair cascading down her back. Her piercing grey eyes seemed to hold a depth of knowledge and experience. This woman was none other than Sarah Nelson-Whitlock, Cornelius's beloved wife.
"Jasper, this is my mate and wife, Sarah," Cornelius introduced her, a sense of pride evident in his voice.
"Lovely to meet you, Jasper," Sarah replied, her words flowing with a gentle Louisiana accent that added a touch of charm to her introduction.
"Hi, Sarah, it's great to meet you," Jasper responded politely, his voice reflecting his genuine enthusiasm to make her acquaintance.
The last two vampires emerged from the shadows, their presence commanding attention. The male vampire, Declan McCarthy, stood tall and exuded an aura of strength with his muscular physique. His dark brown hair cascaded in curls that tapered to a sharp point, framing his chiseled features. His piercing light blue eyes seemed to hold a hint of mystery.
Beside him stood the female vampire, Patrice Hale, a statuesque beauty standing at an impressive height of 5'9". Her elegant figure resembled that of a model, captivating all who laid eyes upon her. Her long wavy blonde hair cascaded down her back, reaching halfway down with a graceful flow. Her eyes, a mesmerizing shade of blue-violet, held a depth that seemed to reflect her enigmatic nature.
Izzy, with a knowing smile, pointed towards the pair. "That's Dean and Tricia," she said.
Jasper, his keen perception evident, responded, "Ah, I can discern the familial connection to Rose and Em."
Just as the words left his lips, Rosalie and Emmett emerged from the main house, their movements freezing in surprise as they caught sight of the newcomers.
Emmett's voice boomed with certainty as he exclaimed, "Dean, there's no question about it!" His enthusiasm was infectious, causing a smile to spread across Rosalie's face.
In response to Emmett's declaration, Rosalie chimed in, her voice filled with a touch of amusement, "Indeed, Emmett, there's no doubt about it."
Dean and Patricia exchanged glances, their smiles mirroring the deep bond they shared as siblings. Dean, ever the affectionate one, reached out and embraced his brother, his grip firm and reassuring. "Hello, Mett," he greeted warmly.
Returning the gesture, Patricia reciprocated the affection by embracing her sister, her voice filled with genuine warmth as she replied, "Hello, Rosie." The love and connection between the siblings were palpable, evident in the way they held each other.
