Yuju? Who is Yuju? Okay yes, I understand that's the girl in front of me but how does Jeongguk know her and why is he so angry?

Jeongguk's whole posture changed the second he saw and heard her voice. Aggressive, defensive, and protective towards me. This girl is no good.

"Taehyung, leave. Go to Yoongi or Namjoon", Jeongguk says, looking over his shoulder to me and gesturing to the door behind us. I decided to listen and rush towards the door but it gets shut with a loud bang in front of me. I gasp shocked and look around to see that Yuju girl with a hand in the air. Did she do it?

"Why let him leave? I missed him too, you know", Yuju snickers. She missed me? I don't even know her. "Yuju", Jeongguk growls. The girl looks at him, smiling disappointed. "All these years you never talked to me in this tone. And look at you now, all grown up and a real Alpha, huh?" the girl says. I frown... is this Jeongguk's mate?

"I like the story you made up, making me look like the bad guy but one you were on the same team, Jeongguk. We both wanted the same", Yuju growls angrily. "What's going on here?" I softly ask. Both heads turn to me.

"Yes, Jeon. Let's tell our little wolfie here what's going on", Yuju smirks and walks closer, only for Jeongguk to growl and pull me further behind him, now totally out of sight.

"J-Jeongguk, why can't I know?" I ask softly. Jeongguk growls frustrated and looks from me to Yuju. "She'll lie", Jeongguk says, but I hear that he's lying to me. His heartbeat shows he's scared.

"What's going on, Jeongguk?" I ask a bit suspicious. "You really didn't tell him? I have to say I'm a bit disappointed", Yuju smirks. I ignore her and look at Jeongguk. "Who is she?" I ask. He looks at her and then back to me. "My mate", he says and I widen my eyes. I was right!

"Sort of", the girl interrupts. I look at him. "Yes, I know. He wasn't good enough for you", I say a bit angry. The girl laughs. "Honey, for me? I'm not even his real mate", she says, "I'm just his second chance."

I look at Jeongguk. Did he lose 2 mates? Why didn't he tell me?

"And that second chance was also not really decided by the moon goddess. We used a bit of magic to make this all work", Yuju chuckles. "Are you curious about what we did more? How me we're a perfect team? Nothing to worry about and certainly no me bashing him for being a bitch. Simply cause he wasn't?" Yuju spoke the truth, I could feel it. But does that mean Jeongguk lied to me about how he and his mate broke up? Or was that with his first mate? His real mate?

"What do you mean, I don't understand it", I say, confused about what is now actually going on.

"You want to tell him or should I?" Yuju smirks. I look up to Jeongguk to see him look at Yuju with red glowing eyes and his sharp teeth out. He's really angry, I could tell.

People start banging on the kitchen doors, but it stays closed. I start to dislike this girl and her stories. But watching Jeongguk's reactions, they seem to be true.

"Hmm... I would love to tell you everything, dear. But leaving you with Jeon like this is much more fun", she snickers and turns around only to be gone after. The doors open and Yoongi and Namjoon are the first to fall in.

"What the hell happened? Was she here?" Namjoon asks. "Jeongguk, calm down", Yoongi says calmly. I look around to see him still with furious glowing eyes, nails out, and heart going so fast his will might take over.

I grab his hand, lift my hand to place it on his cheek, and make him look my way. I lock eyes with his and frown at the brightness of his fire red eyes.
