Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, you have the right love but in a wrong time. And maybe you are in a right time with right love, but your time together has already a limit. "Maisie! M-Maisie, wake up. Please.. I'm begging." nanginginig ang mga kamay ko habang hawak ang kamay niyang nagsisimula nang manlamig. Kasabay ng pagpatak ng luha ko ay ang pagpatak ng pawis ko. I keep on doing a CPR para lang ma-revive ang paghinga niya.
Ilang minuto na ang lumipas ay wala pa rin ang ambulansya. Malapit nang mangitim ang labi niya.
Muli kong chineck ang vitals niya at nagsisimula na kong manlambot nang wala pa rin akong makapa na tumitibok. Hindi ko rin maramdaman ang hininga niya.
"Maisie. Don't leave me.. please.." nanghihina kong sabi.
Agad naman akong napalingon nang marinig ko ang ambulansya. Napatayo ako at bumilis ang tibok ng puso dahil sa wakas ay dumating na rin sila. Isinakay si Maisie sa ambulansya at sumama ako hanggang ospital. Bigla nalang kasi siyang nahimatay kanina habang masaya kaming naglalaro sa buhanginan.
Dineretso siya sa ER pagkarating namin ng ospital. Sa labas ng kuwarto lang ako naghintay dahil bawal pa ako sa loob. Napaupo naman ako sa isang bench at nanalangin na sana.. sana mabuhay siya.
Eksakto paglabas ng doktor ay napatayo ako.
"Doc! D-Doc! Kamusta po siya?" nag-aalalang tanong ko. Natakot naman ako nang marinig ang buntong-hininga ng doktor.
"I'm sorry. We tried our best, but she didn't make it."
Parang binagsakan ako ng langit at lupa dahil sa narinig. Nanlambot ang mga tuhod ko at muling napaupo sa bench. Hindi.. hindi siya pwedeng mawala.
"KC. Huy"
"Hmmmm.." ungol ko nang maramdaman ko ang marahang pag-alog sa'kin.
"KC! Wake up!"
Napadilat ako nang marinig ang boses ni Maisie sa tabi ko at agad na umayos ng upo.
"Anyare sa'yo? Umuungol ka habang tulog." bungad na tanong niya. Tinitigan ko lang siya at napahinga nang maluwag nang malaman na 'yon pala ay panaginip lang.
Nginitian ko siya at niyakap.
"'Wag mo kong iiwan, ah?" sabi ko. Bahagya siyang nagtaka pero kahit na gayon ay sumagot pa rin siya.
"Oo naman. Hinding-hindi ko 'yon gagawin." napangiti ako sa isinagot niya. Kampante ako na hindi niya ako iiwan dahil sinabi niya. Alam kong hindi natin kontrolado ang oras, pero once na nangako siya, tutuparin niya.
At iyon ang pinanghahawakan at panghahawakan ko hanggang dulo.
