"Why did no one tell me about this?" Harry said to me."Dumbledore sa-" I started for the millionth time but he interrupted me.
"So what? Everyone knows that I'm the one who's going to have to defeat Voldemort in the end anyway. Why stop me now?"
Anger bubbled inside of me. "Well harry, do you want to go fight Voldemort now? Go ahead really. I'm certainly not about to stop you. What are you going to do? What spell are you going to use? Who's going to be your backup if you fall? Hm?"
Harry didnt say anything and sat down.
"I know it's hard for you harry. I may not understand but I know. The order knows too. All we are trying to do is help you. The war really is inevitable now, and gathering people isn't the easiest thing at the moment. More than half of the wizarding population doesn't believe you because of the dingleberry we call the minister of magic," I said sympathetically.
Harry chuckled at the last comment and smiled weakly. "You know hermione just gave me the exact same lecture an hour ago."
"Good on her. She really is the only one who can keep the two of you in line," I laughed.
Harry got up and I gave him a hug. "Take it easy alright?" I said to him.
"When do I not?" He said and walked out of the room.
I sat back down onto my bed and thought about me and fred. I decided to take sirius' advice late last night. I got up and opened my trunk. I had asked for a pair of scissors and a needle and thread for Mrs. Weasley early this morning. I hadn't mastered the art of wand knitting yet so I had to do it with hand.
I pulled out one of my older beige sweat shirts that had shrunk considerably over the years. They were really comfortable that's why I never threw them out. I cut the hem of the shirt into a zigzag pattern and stitched it for a neater look. I closed the door and tried it on with a pair of blue jeans. It really looked amazing. An extremely thin strip of my skin was showing in between the zigzags, but when I stretched my piercing showed. I decided to wear this for the day and continued with another two of my sweaters.
I finished off and put the rest of my clothes back in my trunk. I tied my hair up in a ponytail half way through the stitching so the look was technically complete. It was almost time for dinner so I skipped down the steps.
Sirius, remus, Mr and Mrs Weasley, ron, and george were all in the kitchen already. Sirius and george were talking about all the pranks they've pulled up till now while remus was shaking his head at all the things he'd done.
"Hey Mr. Weasley," I said to him and sat down.
"Ah hello y/n, how are you?" He asked.
"I'm fine thanks. How's work?"
"Well lucius is a pain as always but other than that all good." He said. "So I heard that theres this new thing called cotton candy?"
"Oh yeah, it's delicious. I would have brought some, but it isn't good if you store it."
"That's alright," he said and went back to the daily prophet he was reading.
I got up to ask Mrs. Weasley if she needed help, but as always she had it under control.
"Oh y/n dear, can you actually just go call the others down?" She asked.
I nodded slightly and skipped up the steps. I knocked at one of the doors and saw harry, hermione and ginny talking. I told them to come down for dinner and they did. Then I went to our room. Fred, george and I were sharing a room and it had been pretty awkward since we hadn't talked since we kissed, and I wasn't so keen on it.
I opened the door and fred was laying on his bed, flipping his wand between his fingers.
"Dinners ready," I mumbled and he shot out of his bed. I turned to walk out of the room but he grabbed my wrist, "Wait."
Tingles spread through my arm and I pulled it out of his grasp. "What?"
"What's wrong with you? You arent talking to me," he said and I looked at him.
"What do you mean what's wrong with me? Nothing is wrong with me, but I think there is something wrong with you. Who the hell kisses someone out of nowhere? And then you expect it to be normal?"
"George kissed you! So what if I kissed you? Just to make it even," he said.
"Just to make it even? Wow fred. How nice to say that to a girl. And george didnt kiss me, I kissed him."
"I still dont understand what was wrong with me kissing you," he yelled.
"Everything is wrong with you kissing me! What the hell fred! You dont just kiss someone! At least ask beforehand! Especially someone who's your best friend," I yelled back.
He stepped closer and grabbed my wrist. "Would you mind if I kissed you again?"
No.
"Bloody hell fred," I muttered and pulled my arm away. "Yes I would, now dont even bother coming near me because I'm not talking to you." I said and walked out, slamming the door behind me.
I walked back downstairs and into the kitchen. Everyone was there now and staring at me. It dawned on me that everyone had heard us yelling at each other. My cheeks heated up and I grumbled a sorry and sat down at the table. Fred came in a while later and the tension increased ten times more than it already was. No one said anything and we started to eat.
We were sitting awkwardly and I spoke up, "Sorry everyone."
"That's alright dear," Mrs. Weasley said from beside me. "I could change your room if you want."
"Thanks Mrs. Weasley, but I think I can manage," I told her.
"So fred kissed you huh? Do you want me to beat his ass?" She whispered to me.
"Mrs. Weasley!"
She laughed. "Oh come on dear, cant I have a little fun?"
I grinned. "I really wouldnt mind."
