I was putting away a couple of books in the library and Cedric came up to me.
"Hey..., y/n right?"
"Thats me," I said and put the books down. His hair was wet and he had a flustered look on his face.
"So um about the second task, I figured out what it is," he started but I interrupted him.
"Did you tell harry?" I said before I could stop myself. "Sorry," I mumbled.
"That's alright," he said holding my hand. "And I am going to tell harry."
"Great, so um, do you need anything?" I asked.
"Oh right so basically I need to know how to breath underwater for an hour," he said. "So I asked professor flitwick if theres a charm I could use, but since teachers aren't allowed to help, he told me to ask his best student, which brings me here, to you."
"I'm his best student!" I gushed but then remembered Cedric in front of me. "Oh sorry, again."
"Its fine," he smiled and I thought for a moment.
"Well theres an advanced charms book back in aisle 65 on the top shelf, but if you dont find anything in there, theres a bubble head charm you could use which acts as a mask and a source of oxygen," I told him. "I dont exactly know the spell, but I'm pretty sure it's in there somewhere."
"Thank you so much," he smiled. "I'll make sure to pay you back," he says and turns around.
"Oh that's ok," I said, he smiled, and walked away.
I picked up my stack of books again and started putting them back in their places.
"Ms. Shahid?" a rough voice said from behind me. I put the books down again and turned around. Professor moody stood in front of me and I stood straighter.
"Yes professor?"
"Where are the defense against the dark arts curricular books?" He said and I frowned. Shouldn't he have them?
"They're in aisle 32, just under the potions textbooks," I said and he limped away without another word.
Knowing where things are is really helping out today.
Again, I picked up my stack of books and walked out the aisle. I made my way to the 12th aisle and put some transfiguration books away.
"Y/l/n!" I heard draco yell. We're in a library! I turned around and he came up to me.
"Can we talk?" He said quietly this time and I lead him to the back.
I sat down on one of the couches and he sat next to me.
"Is everything alright?" I asked, worried.
"Yeah, no, I'm alright, it not like that," he said and I remembered when he told me about home.
"Oh good, then what's the problem?"
"Um well, it's a bit stupid, but pansy just kissed me and I dont know what to do," he mumbled and I surpressed a laugh.
"But you dont even like her!" I said.
"That's the whole point! Goyle does!" He exclaimed and then I laughed.
"Goyle?" I said in between laughter and he joined in.
Once we stopped laughing, I said, "Well just tell pansy that you dont like her that wa-" he interrupted.
"I dont like her in any way."
"Ok but dont tell her that, just say you dont like her that way and maybe reccomend someone for example, Goyle," I said and laughed again,
"But i know shes not gonna give up," he says.
"Then find someone else, show her you really dont care."
"There is someone in mind," I say looking at his face.
"Well, not really, but I guess I could try," he says and gets up. "Thank you."
"You're always welcome draco." He smiled at me and walked away, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
This time, I stayed in my spot and thought about fred. He's who i smelt in potions class, and I still cant get over it. It was probably wrong. I pulled my necklace out from under my shirt and looked at the pendant he got me always and forever. I thought back to when we were in our room, and in the great hall. My train of thought was interrupted when Jasper came and sat down next to me, occupying dracos spot.
"Hey," he said and I smiled.
"Couldn't resist eh?" I joked, and then realised fred had said the same thing to me weeks ago.
"Very funny," he said sarcastically.
" What's up?" I said, turning towards him.
" Um, I uh, ok," he said, taking a deep breath. " Um, do you want to go to the yule ball with me? "
I smiled at him, but my mind went back to fred. "Alright then, looks like i've got a date!"
He smiled so wide and took my hand in his. A warm feeling spread through me and I returned the smile.
" I'll be waiting at the bottom of the staircase, " he said and kissed my hand. I blushed and he stood up.
" Ok then."

Nigels tounge turned green and I scowled at george.
" you said it was harmless!''
' Do you see him hurt?" He says in between laughing.
" where's the antidote candy?" I asked, looking at nigel who looked like he was going to burst into tears.
"Here," fred said, handing me a blue taffy.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes," they both said, their laughter dying down. I handed him the candy and his tounge went back to normal.
"Thanks," he said to me. I smiled and he went off to his dorm.
Ginny and hermione came into the common room and sat on the couch. "He asked me!" Hermione said to her.
"What did you say?" Ginny asked excitedly.
"Yes of course! That's victor krum your talking about," she said and I smiled. Of course she could pull victor krum. Shes stunning!
"Hey fatima! Hermione has a date!" Ginny exclaimed. Neville came up behind her and asked ginny if they could talk. When she came back, there was a bounce in her step, and Neville had a smile on his face. "I have a date!"
"That's great gin! Now guess what? So do I!" I say and suddenly fred is involved in the conversation.
"Firet of all," he says, "I'm gonna keep an eye on you ginny, and second of all, bloody hell hermione, I bet ron wanted to take victor," she laughed. "And thirdly, who asked you?" He said to me. I frowned at him.
"Jasper did," I told him and he frowned.
"Oh that's so great!" Hermione said from behind. I smiled and nodded my head.
"Do you two have dates?" I asked asked the twins.
"I asked Alicia, she said yes," george said.
"Awesome," I said and he smiled.
"I dont like-like her though, we're both going as friends," he said.
"Freddie?" I asked. He looked around the common room. Angelina was sitting with Alicia and fred yelled.
"Oi angie, want to go to the ball with me?" I felt a pang in my heart.
"Sure!" She smiled and fred winked at her. He turned back to me.
"I do have a date."
