Chapter 3 - You'll Be Alright

After the doctor checks you, Your Parents arrive in the room.
Mom: Roller Skating again, just like when he was little.
Dad: Should heal up in a week or two.
Mom: I can call out from work.
Jessica: I can look after him with the other, of course.
Y/N: yeah, no need to call off work, momma.
Mom: are you sure?
Jessica: yeah, y/n would do the same for me.
Mom: Okay, I have to go back to the office. Don't be breaking anything else, please.
She kisses your forehead and leaves the room.
Dad: I'll get dinner ready for tonight.
He hugs you goodbye then leaves.
Jessica: sorry about your leg.
Y/N: it's okay. When Tom twisted his leg, we both started crying, but I would visit him every day to keep him company until it healed.
Jessica: What was his deal at the rink.
Y/N: just being overprotective as always.
Leon and Tom Both enter the room together, and both rush to you.
Tom: Your parents told me what happened.
Leon: told us.
Tom: I'll keep you company until it heals as you did with me.
Y/N: I know, but you should be worrying about your girlfriend.
Tom: girlfriend? Oh shit, Julie, umm ill be right back.
Tom leaves the room, and Leon sits next to you.
Leon: guessing you don't want to go roller skating again after this.
Y/N: a little cast isn't going to stop me.
Jessica: I'll teach you next time, though, but I have to get going. See you at your house later.
She leaves the room.
Tom's POV
You walk back to the front desk.
Julie: how is he?
Tom: he umm, sorry I left in a rush.
Julie: I get it. He's your best friend since pretty much forever. I'm going to head home. You stay I got studying to do.
She leaves you, and you walk back into the hospital hall you bump into Jessica.
Jessica: Tom, can we talk real quick.
Tom: Sure.
Jessica: I know I'm about to ask something silly but do you like Y/N?
Tom: Yeah, he's like a brother.
Jessica: I mean like as a boyfriend kind of way.
Your eyes widen up.
Tom: of course not.
Jessica: Okay, that's all I wanted to know.
She leaves you, and you just stare at the ground.
Tom: I don't. He's just a friend, right?
Back to Your POV
Y/N: I want to go to the beach before the fall weather comes in.
Leon: we still got time. We can go once your leg heals up.
Y/N: that would be nice.
You both look at each other with a smile on each other faces.
Leon: I should be getting home, but ill see you later at your house.
Y/N: yeah.
He leaves, and Tom walks in.
Tom: Hey, buddy.
Y/N: that's your sad voice. What wrong?
Tom: I'm just feeling guilty for what happened with your leg.
He sits next to you.
Y/N: it's okay. I should have been more careful.
Tom: Well, I'm here for you.
He takes your hand and smiles at you.
Y/N: Thanks, Tom.
Tom: of course.
After you get your cast on, your dad picks you and Tom up.
Dad: so how was school kids?
Tom: it was an experience.
Y/N: Tommy has a girlfriend.
Tom: y/n!!!
You laugh, and he just pokes your shoulder.
Dad: Okay, Tommy, I see you.
Dad: what about you, Y/N? How was your day?
Y/N: it was fine other than the leg.
Dad: no romantic interest.
Tom looks at you entirely.
Y/N: Nah, I'm more worried about my studies.
You reach your house Tom helps you to your room you lay on your bed, and Tom sits in a chair.
Y/N: lay with me.
Tom: I better not you need the space.
Y/N: come on, I'll get up and drag you over.
Tom: fine.
He lays next to you.
Y/N: remember in the 3rd grade.
Tom: don't you dare remind me of what I think your thinking of.
You could feel your eyes getting heavy.
Y/N: when you umm.
Tom looks at you sleeping.
Tom: thank goodness.
He yawns and falls asleep too.
Tom's POV
You slowly wake up from your nap. You didn't realize you passed out so quickly you look down to Y/N sleeping on your chest.
Y/N: shit.
You slowly move your body off the bed, and you fall in, not the floor y/n name wakes up.
Tom: Shit!!!
Y/N wakes up from the noise.
Y/N: Tom, are you okay?
Tom: Yeah, umm, I'm fine.
You get up and dusty himself off Y/N turns his head and laughs.
Tom: what?
Y/N: Look down.
You look down to yourself with a full hard-on and turn to cover it while y/n keeps laughing.
Tom: don't laugh at me.
Y/N: thinking about Julie, huh?
You leave the room and head to your bathroom.
Tom: come on, go away.
Back to Your POV
You finish laughing.
Y/N: Tom?
You don't get an answer, you grab your crutches and walk to the bathroom.
Y/N: Holland, are you okay listen, it happened to everyone you know.
He opens the door.
Tom: I know it's just weird because you're here.
Y/N: listen, I'll wipe it clean out my memory.
Tom: pfft, as if you got the best memory
Y/N: like in third grade.
Tom: don't you dare.
Y/N: when we slept over at Mike's house, and you peed the bed.
Tom comes out of the bathroom and covers your month.
Tom: we don't talk about that day.
Your Leon knocks and walks in.
Leon: Am I interrupting something?
Y/N: no, it's okay. Just remind Tom of his most embarrassing day.
Tom: don't you dare tell him.
Y/N: I won't, I won't, I promise.
Leon: so you both ready to study.
Tom: What about Diego and Jessica?
Y/N: They said they'd be over in about an hour.
Leon and Tom both attempt to help you sit down.
Leon: I got it.
Tom: no, I'm pretty sure I got it.
Y/N: I'm fine.
You go over to your book back and grab your books. You all study for about half an hour.
Tom: I need a break.
Y/N: I'm starving.
Leon: Same.
Tom: I'll grab you both something then.
Tom leaves the room and heads downstairs.
Leon: so he hasn't been home since he left the hospital, huh?
Y/N: no, I'm worried he thinks he needs to start with me the whole day, but I know he probably wants to do something else.
Leon: he's a good friend little overprotective, but he's a good guy.
Tom comes back with a bunch of snacks.
Tom: I brought most of your favorites.
He looks at the both of you
Y/N: Tom, listen, I won't be mad if you want to do something else like hanging out with Julie or just head home.
Tom: but who's going to take care of you.
Y/N: Leons here, and the twins are coming later. Just come past when dinner ready, okay.
Tom looks sad, but he understands you fist bump each other, and Tom leaves.
