You and Tom have been Best Friends since the second grade, but sometimes people get a little too close, and both see each other differently when certain situations happen.
Tom: Did I do anything wrong. Y/N: of course not. It's me that's the problem. He reaches out, and you back away. Y/N: I'm too stressed out. I don't want to lay my baggage on you. Tom: Y/N. Y/N: I'm just not emotionally ready for a relationship anymore. Tom: I'll wait for you, okay. Y/N: you don't have to. He takes your hand. Tom: you're my best friend and the love of my life Y/N. You see tears fall from his eyes. Tom: I can't think of anyone who gets me more than you, so when you're ready, I'll be here for you. You fall onto the cold ground in tears, and Tom was there to comfort you. You and Tom returned to the cabin dinner was done. Mom: dinner almost ready. Tom: it smells delicious. You looked at Tom talking to your parents and your sibling all playing together as your Eyes slowly closed to the warmth of the cabin. Before you knew it, the weekend passed, and you were on your way back home. Once you got home, you and Tom sat in your backyard. Tom: this is where it all started. Y/N: yeah. You both sit in silence for a while. Y/N: are you angry at me? Tom: of course not. You have a lot of stuff on your plate. He looks at you. Tom: I can wait. Y/N: thank you. You hug each other tightly. Tom: don't get yourself into more trouble, okay. Y/N: the only time I get in trouble is when in with you. You both laugh. Tom: Well, I better be getting home, but ill see you tomorrow. Y/N: of course. He smiles at you and walks out the side gate. Y/N: I'm so sorry, Thomas. You and Thomas hung out every day as usual from Christmas to New Year's. 2 Years Later ☀️ Summer ☀️ You hear a knock at the door. Y/N: That must be the gang. You jump over the couch and head towards the door to open it. Jessica: Surprise! Y/N: Jessica! You hug each other. Y/N: how was Your trip? Jessica: it was lovely. I hope to go back after we finished our senior year. Leon: hopefully, she invites me next time. Y/N: Leon. You give each other a fist bump as the walk inside. Diego: please tell me your dad is cooking tonight. Y/N: luckily, he is. Diego: thank goodness I'm saved. He walks inside. You don't see anybody else, so you close the door. Dad: food is almost done. Diego: smells good, Mr. L/N. Dad: I would hope so. I have been cooking all day. Kyle: I told you I could cook the rest for you. Dad: well, you're going to be a dad soon, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to let you cook. Jessica: ready to be an Uncle? Y/N: we already got two cuties right here. You chase Maxie and Lillie around the backyard then the doorbell rings. Y/N: more guests. You walk to go open the door you open it to see. Tom: I brought a gift. He hands you a box. Y/N: what's this for? Tom: it's just something I thought you'd like, but you are not allowed to open it until midnight. Y/N: fine. He comes inside. Tom: I'm guessing everyone got here before me. Y/N: yeah, but your working now, so I understand, but you didn't need to get me anything. Tom: it's okay. I hope you like it. You both smile at each other, looking at his beautiful brown eyes. Tom: you okay? Y/N: yeah, think about how we're going to be seniors this year, that's all. Tom: pretty sure you'll be fine. He pats your shoulder with a smile and heads towards the backyard. Y/N: sure. You head into the backyard; everyone was excited for the last day of summer, just like the old-time you thought to yourself, just like old times.
