Chapter 15 - Long Distance Lovely

You walked to Tom's house before he left he was happy to see you.
Tom: Here to see me go?
Y/N: of course.
You give him a quick kiss, and his parents come outside to greet you.
Tom's Dad: Y/N long time no see.
You shake his hand.
Y/N: nice to see you, Mr.Holland.
Tom's mom walks up to you to hug you.
Y/N: Mrs.Holland, you look lovely today.
Tom's Mom: Thank you, Y/N.
They put their things in the car.
Tom: I'll be back in two weeks.
Y/N: I'll be waiting.
You wink at him, and he blushes before getting in the car; you wave goodbye to him, and they drive off.
Tom's POV for the rest of the story
You started to feel sad watch as you watch the car drive past Y/N, but you promised Y/N you would enjoy yourself.
About three hours later
You finally arrived at your grandparent's house. They walk out to greet you all catch up with each other, mainly enjoying each other company. After a few hours, you walked outside to try to talk to Y/N, but he wasn't answering.
Tom: maybe he's sleeping
You sit on the wooden bridge looking at the same until someone taps on your shoulder. You turn to look at them.
Tom: Zoey!
She sits next to—you with a big grin on her face.
Zoe: long time no see Holland.
Tom: I haven't seen you in five years. How have you been?
Zoe: I been okay for the most part. My parents got divorced, so I lived with my mom for the last few months.
Tom: I'm sorry to hear that.
Zoe: I knew it was coming, but it hurt that it happened, but I'll be fine.
Tom: I should have kept in touch with you.
Zoe: how long are you staying?
Tom: for about two weeks.
Zoe: then we should totally hang out before you leave.
Tom: sure thing, as long as we don't burn any more chicken coops down.
Zoe: no promises.
They both stand up and hug each other, and she leaves Sam and Harry both come outside.
Harry: was that Zoe?
Sam: seemed like Zoe to me.
Tom: it was. Let's get back inside.
Days passed you helped your grandparents out around the house along with your three brothers until your final two days came. You heard a knock at the door. You go and open it, and it's Zoe.
Zoe: let's hang out.
Tom: Okay, let me get my coat.
You grab your coat and tell your parent you're heading out. Once you got outside, you saw Zoe on a bike.
Zoe: let's get going, slowpoke.
Tom: I'm coming.
You get onto the back of her bike, and she starts peddling.
Tom: where are we going?
Zoe: to burn some stuff down!!!
Tom: Zoe!!!
Zoe: I'm just kidding. You'll see.
She keeps padding towards a junkyard.
Tom: A junkyard?
Zoe: Yeah, let's go in.
Tom: I don't think that's a good idea.
Zoe: come on, just one look.
You look at her terrified, but she shrugs her shoulders and goes through the hole in the gate.
Tom: Zoe.
You follow her into the junkyard and instantly lose her.
Tom: where did she go?
You walk around, and then you receive a call from Y/N.
Tom: shit.
You answer it.
Y/N: Hey Tommy, how's it going?
Tom: it's going great.
Then a loud crashing sound happens nearby.
Y/N: what was that?
Tom: Nothing, listen, can I call you back later.
Y/N: sure.
You hang up and keep looking for Zoe.
Zoe: Shit, Help!
Tom: Zoe?!
You follow the sound of her voice until you saw her. You quickly ran to her and saw her bone was sticking out of her leg.
Tom: Fuck what happened!
Zoe: I should have looked where I was going.
Tom: I'll call the ambulance.
Zoe: let's get out first.
She takes off her flannel and wraps her leg around it, screaming in pain.
Tom: here, get on my back.
You carry her back outside the junkyard.
Zoe: dammit, I was trying to impress you.
Tom: impress me for what I already think. You're pretty cool.
Zoe: really?
Tom: yeah, you don't need to impress me or anyone for that matter.
Zoe: you're right.
Then you get a phone call.
Tom: Hey, baby.
Y/N: Is everything okay.
Tom: I was just with an old friend.
Y/N: oh, sorry if I'm bothering you.
Tom: it's okay. I'll see you in two days. I miss you.
Y/N: not more than I miss you.
Tom: night, baby.
Y/N: night.
He hangs up.
Zoe: I didn't know you had a girlfriend.
You run your neck.
Tom: you remember y/n.
Zoe: Yeah.
And about a minute later.
Zoe: oh!
Tom: Yeah.
Zoe: I should have known you two were like two peas in a pod. How long you two been together.
Tom: for about three months now.
Zoe: and what about his and your parents? Do they know?
Tom: his parents know but not mines. I'm just not ready yet.
Zoe: well, you got this, Thomas.
The ambulance arrives. You go with Zoe to the hospital until you had to go back to your grandparent's house, climbing into bed and slowly falling asleep the next day; you and your family packed your stuff to get ready to go home you say goodbye to your grand patents and get into the car on the drive home you looked out the window.
Tom: I'm dating Y/N!
Your brothers look at you along with your Mom.
Tom's Dad: that was random.
Tom: sorry.
Tom's Mom: anyone else has news to share.
It's silent.
Tom's Mom: okay.
Tom: I just felt like I needed to get it off my chest.
Tom's Dad: it's fine as long as you are happy; we're happy.
You smile and text Y/N about what happened. He was shocked and happy for you. He was so sweet.
