~Ohm's POV~
Everything's completely black. I guess I should have expected this, after all, every inkling of light is shut out, forbidden to enter the small room which desperately needs. Lifting my hand to the black covering on the window I almost feel the need to just ignore every official in here and force open the window, but if I did that everything would be done for nothing. Before I can continue to have that thought desperately spiraling through my mind until I work up the nerve to do so, I feel a rough motion forcing everyone in the room to jerk forward before forcing themselves back to their spot. The front door opens suddenly, nearly blinding each and every one of us after having spent hours in the complete darkness. Paired along with the sudden appearance of light, shouts begin to echo through the room, now deafening us and ridding us of yet another sense. Immediately every soldier in the stuffed bus all shuffle up in a panic, completely forgetting about our belongings as we stumble up trying to force every grown man into the small isle. Every thin and very uncomfortable seat is grasped onto as every person in the bus rush out, our only balance being obtained by grabbing onto the seats and even then many still stumble forward onto the floor only slowing the rest of us.
I had been expecting this, I'm not sure why I had expected enough time for another nap when in reality we were obviously speeding way above speed limit to arrive here. At the very last step down the small doorway I feel the pressure of tumbling bodies behind me, someone having tripped directly behind me. For a moment I meet eyes with the man crossing his arms directly in front of the bus doors before tumbling down and stumble forward, nearly colliding directly with the man. Slowly I gain my balance and glance backwards, finding the many men all on the floor stacked on top of each other after a single man had tripped. Holding in my laughter at the men all piled on top of each other it's when someone else bursts into laughter that I hesitate and glance over at who dared to laugh in front of who seemed like a very high up. I can hardly hold my surprise in when I see that the one bursting into laughter is the official himself, laughing an awful lot in front of the men who are all glowing red in embarrassment.
"Hey!" A shout shocks me to pay attention again and notice the other official shouting at me to continue running along with the line of other men. I hesitate but nod and dash after the line of men, glancing back to the other official who is smiling and speaking with one of the fellow recruits. He must not be too high of a rank to lose the strict and harsh facade most of the officials always put on for the newest recruits. If the governor were to see that behavior he'd surely want to have a word with the captain here and yell until the captain's ears fall off, or at least until the captain dies of boredom after hearing that man's voice. Turning back in front of me I hesitate, the sudden appearance of another official with the same jacket as most officials appears in front of me, the several badges on his collar showing me he is a sergeant.
"I'm-"
"No names here, what's the codename?" the man asks and I stare at him for a moment before nodding. I should have known that we'd always go by the codenames here, I just hadn't expected it to arrive so soon. Usually it takes a while to get a codename, at least until you would be a well known at the base, someone familiar with everyone else. I've always dreamed of that sort of closeness with a base, although I haven't had that many anticipations in that sort of environment I feel myself beginning to hope more and more ever since I've arrived here.
"OhmWrecker," I reply and the man nods before nodding in the direction with the other recruits. Taking a deep breath I nod and burst into a sprint to catch up with the others but I can't help but glance up momentarily and find the man I just checked in with shaking his head and walking forward to the other official I've seen thus far and the rest of the recruits all seeming to stumble forward. Some of them must have gotten hurt, and as fucked up as it sounds I find it amusing they're making their first impressions like this. Another shout gets my attention again and I quickly glance forward and notice the other sergeant shouting at the others to go through the obstacle course quicker and better. I sigh and go forward quicker and go through the first obstacle, the familiarity of the course being recalled easily.
