22. ayo bestie Ranboo pog

Notes: just to clarify, in America, our school system goes elementary, middle school, high school, then college and (correct me if I'm wrong) in the UK it's primary, secondary, college, then university, so keep in mind that y/n, Tubbo, Ranboo, and Tommy are all currently in what Americans call high school, but Tubbo is a year older.

It had been almost a month since you had left London.

Your streaming schedule was back to normal, Tommy appearing on it slightly less than before, due to chat spamming donations with questions about the two of you. You ignored them. You played with him constantly off-stream, but chat didn't need to know that.

On the Dream SMP, you had chosen to stay out of the lore. Your main contributions were to help out with getting resources for others, somewhat of a less plot essential Technoblade. You began calling Ranboo more. He and Tubbo had grown very close and Tubbo had mentioned that he thought the two of you would get along quite well.

Like you, Ranboo was shit at most other games besides Minecraft. Tommy teased you both relentlessly about it. It was way easier to talk to Ranboo and plan streams with him, since it turned out he was in your timezone. In the past month, he had face revealed to you, Tubbo, Tommy, Fundy, and Jack Manifold. It was something chat didn't know about, and you didn't really plan on telling them.

You and Ranboo lived about two hours away from each other, which made him the closest streamer to you. You both had a lot in common. Both of you were American Minecraft streamers who really blew up near the end of 2020. Ranboo was so kind to you all the time, offering to help edit your videos and coordinate both of your streams, so neither of you stole viewers from the other.

Over time, you and Ranboo became very close. You told him about your family, about your brother, about how you hated where you were. Strangely enough, he understood. His parents weren't as distant as yours, but he had the same urge to move out as soon as possible. You both started talking about the possibility of moving to England one day. Pretty soon, that plan started to solidify. You and Ranboo now had a special savings account set aside for the England fund, which was money that you were specifically saving for when you were able to move.

You had already talked to Tommy about it, but being able to plan it with someone in your same boat was reassuring. You weren't alone in this.

Late one night, Tommy added you to his discord call with Tubbo.

"Dude it's so early for you guys, what's going on?"

"Okay listen, listen. Tubbo and I have been talking about this. You know how you want to come to England?"

"Mhmm?"

"Okay, so. There's this scholarship we found that's sponsored by Twitch, and it's this program that allows you to go study at the top universities in the UK."

"Oh that's neat." You said sleepily.

"Do you know what this means!" Tubbo shouted, full of energy.

"Not really?" You admitted.

"You and Ranboo can apply for the scholarship, and go to university in the UK!"

Your mouth dropped.

Wait. This was it. This was the solution you and Ranboo had been looking for.

Colleges in the UK were hard to get into as an American, but with a scholarship like this, your chances got a whole lot better.

"Have you told Ranboo?" You asked quickly.

"Not yet, he didn't answer Tubbo's discord call," Tommy explained.

"Oh, I'll text him and tell him to call me tomorrow so we can figure it out. Holy shit wait. This literally solves so many problems. We have a way to live in the UK for at least three years now!" You said, forcing your voice to stay quiet, masking the adrenaline racing through you, so you wouldn't wake your family.
