"Seriously, I considered not even saving the VOD because of it. I just know that clip is going to be everywhere," You said with a sigh.

"I'm sorry, I genuinely didn't mean to," Tommy responded sheepishly.

"It's fine, really, I just wanted to make sure you didn't fuck up and say you loved me or something," You joked.

He laughed a little less than normal.

"You alright?"

"Yeah!" He reassured you as he cleared his throat, "Yeah uh, just thinking. Um have you called Tubbo about the scholarship yet?"

"No. I can add him and Ranboo to the call right now and let them know."

"Alright."

You told your best friends the news, pulling your headphones off of your ears, cringing at the sheer volume they cheered with. Everything was going to plan. Finally, something was going to work out.

Your parents were next. You grabbed the cow stuffy Tommy had bought you, squeezing it tightly to your chest for comfort. You mustered up all the courage you could, laughing as Tommy hyped you up while you pressed the call button.

"...Mom?"

"Hi honey, sorry, this is sort of a bad time, what's going on? Are you okay?"

"Yes! Yes, sorry, I'm fine, I just wanted to tell you I got accepted for a scholarship to go to school in England. It's full-ride for all four years of college."

"Honey that's really great, your father and I are proud of you, you know that right? Can we discuss this later?" Your mother said hastily.

"Yeah, yeah that's fine."

"Great! I'll see you soon hun."

"Okay, I lov-"

The dull tone signifying the call ended felt like a slap in the face.

This had felt like everything to you. The past couple of months had been stress upon stress to maintain your grades, your relationship, everything. You admit, you felt bed about letting your channel sort of drop, you knew your viewers missed you, and you couldn't be doing anything that you were doing now without them. There were so many people there for you, and yet the two people that were suppose to be your built in support system could not be farther away.

You hated how badly you wanted a relationship with them. You knew they loved you and how proud they claimed to be, but how could they be? They didn't really spare you a second glance, much less giving you the time of day to really talk about anything you wanted to.

You pushed your thoughts out, focusing on the email that sat on your computer, completely drafted up, waiting to be sent.

You joined back into the VC. You noticed the boys had their cameras on, so you turned yours on as well.

"Hey, sorry, I'm back!"

"Hey! How'd your parents take it?" Ranboo asked gently.

"Great! They were super supportive, as usual. They're really proud of me," You boasted with a smile.

Tommy looked up at you. He knew how rocky your relationship with your parents had been. He knew you weren't telling the truth but he also knew not to push it. Not here.

"That's so awesome! Do you have the email we wrote ready?" Ranboo asked.

Once you had been accepted, you had a week to let the program know if you were still interested.
