It was late-summer now.

You and Tommy hadn't spoken since April. He had never returned your phone call.

Ranboo and Tubbo called you a lot. Ranboo had driven down to visit you the first week of summer. Since then, the two of you tried to hang out as often as possible. One of you would drive to the others house whenever your parents would allow it. You never spoke about Tommy.

You had gotten back into streaming, mainly playing Valorant or CSGO. You had branched out into a new gaming community, making new friends. Ranboo was still very involved in the Minecraft community and told you that you were always welcome on his SMP. He had started one in early June, filled with very small minecraft streamers that were quickly gaining popularity. His streams were still extremely popular. Tommy had taken a break from streaming to tag along with Wilbur during the last bit of his tour with his band. Tubbo's channel was still doing very well. He still streamed Minecraft.

Currently, you and Ranboo sat in his car while you waited in a drive-thru of some fast food restaurant, laughing at some stupid TikTok he had shown you.

"Oh my god Tubbo's gonna love this, I'm sending this to him right now," Ranboo said between laughs.

You smiled, adjusting the volume of the radio in his car.

"Hey, uh, have you heard from Tommy recently?" Ranboo asked quietly.

"Ranboo you know you would be the first one I told if I did."

"Yeah yeah, I was just wondering because of him and Tubbo and everything."

"What do you mean him and Tubbo?"

"Well, since Tubbo's at university this year, he's renting an apartment in Brighton and Tommy's gonna live with him. Tommy's going to do online school to finish his last year of college before he goes to university," Ranboo explained.

"No way! Wait that's so exciting. Tommy always said he wanted to do that. I can't believe they're actually making it work. Do you know if he's back from touring with Wil yet?"

"I think they're suppose to get back in a week, then he's moving in with Toby."

"That's so awesome I'm so happy for them."

You and Ranboo had discussed doing something similar once you moved there as well. Before April, the plan was for all four of you to rent a house together during university. Now with you and Tommy no longer on speaking terms, this didn't seem to be as possible anymore.

"Do you think we should start looking at places to rent once we're out there next year?"

"Maybe," He hesitated, "Do you think by this time next year you still won't be talking to Tommy?"

You looked down, not able to find the words to answer him.

"I'm sorry, I know we never talk about him, it's just, you guys were kind of perfect for each other. I don't think there's a way the two of you can stay apart forever, that's not how it's suppose to be in this universe."

"Well I don't think the universe really gives a shit about what you think Ranboo," You chuckled dryly. "Trust me, I wish we were on talking terms again. I really do still love him. I called him a while ago in May and he never called back, which is fine, I don't expect him to. I really fucked things up, I just miss talking to him, you know?"

"I think you were dealing with a lot at the time. It might feel like a mistake, but I know you both have grown a lot since then. You've both been through hell and back and lived to talk about it. That's pretty fucking cool."
