-----

It was a sunny evening, and everything was calm.

Yet something was missing....something, neither of them could pinpoint.

On one end of the phone, sat an individual, with a crimson red and white braid. His ears flicked up and down nervously as he talked.

On the other end of the phone, sat one with green hair of various shades. She wagged her tail, and smiled as the other male talked to her.

Neither of them knew what to say in order to start the conversation, but eventually, the female took the initiative.

"So...what did You get for number four?"

"I'm still working on number four...."

"Oh."

"Hmmm...."

"Do you need help with it?"

"Possibly...I still don't fully understand this math course."

"That's okay! I can help you out!"

"Cool! Thank you so much!"

"Would you like to meet up somewhere?"

"Why? We're already talking on the phone-"
The female cut him off.

"Peppermint....it would just be easier to demonstrate the procedure if you could actually see what I was doing."

"Oh okay! How about the park?!"

"Sounds good to me."

"I"ll meet you by the big tree. There's a nice picnic table we could sit at."

"Alright. I'll pack my bag with some stuff we might need, and I'll head over there!"

"Sounds like a plan! Thanks a million Ventus!"

"Sure thing!"

He wagged his long, striped tail, and hung up the phone. Afterwards, he, Peppermint, started to think.

Maybe....we could do something fun afterwards! To shake off the studying blues! I'll have to think of somewhere to take her though.....

He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a knock on the door. He walked across the room, and gently turned the knob.

"Hello?"

"Salutations!"

"I thought you....wait...WHAT?!"

Ventus looked up at him and smiled, "I just thought I would walk there with you, ya know...so it won't be too lonely of a walk-"

"Oh...sure! I'll just grab my pencil real quick...and my folder."

"Okay!"

She closed the door, and sat down on the steps.

Peppermint turned, and started to walk away. Then he stopped, It's rude to leave a girl outside....I can't let her sit outside all alone.....

He pivoted his feet, and opened the door again.

"You all ready to go?"

"Not yet...but please do come inside."

"No,...no! Really!, I'm okay out here Stripes!"

He sighed and closed the door, then ran upstairs to grab his school supplies.

What was that she called me? Stripes? His heart fluttered for a few seconds, and he smiled to himself. I suppose I'll let her call me that.....for now anyways.
