The Sun Pirates had stopped off at the closest island where supplies were being sold to restock. I kept a firm grip on Koala's hand as we walked through town with some of the other fishmen. We were still dirty and wore the same ripped clothes. I was secretly hoping for new ones, but I didn't think it would happen anytime soon.
"Oh....my god." I looked at the source of the voice and saw four girls standing in a group. I gulped, expecting to be laughed at and judged, but one of the girls ran up to me with a concerned look on her face.
"Are you two ok? You look like you've been through somethin' awful!" I raised an eyebrow as she took my hands in hers.
"U-Uh...I-I, w-w-well, um," I stuttered, unable to form a proper sentence out of embarrassment. She gave me a warm smile.
"It's alright. You don't need to be nervous. My name is Layla. Over there is my cousin, Lily, my younger sister, Rosie, and that's our friend Arianna," she explained, pointing them out.
