Music is our escape from reality, music is what makes us feel loved and at the same time makes us feel unloved. Music is something; it gives us feelings and emotions. Mabilis tayong madala sa kanta. At ito ang takbuhan natin sa lahat ng pagkakataon. Pag inlove tayo, pag malungkot, pag brokenhearted, tuwing nagsesenti o tuwing problemado tayo. Diba ang musika lang ang tinatakbuhan natin? Madalas nagagalit tayo kasi nakakarelate tayo sa kanta, siguro alam niya ung tunay na nararamdaman natin.

Pero Since buwan ng mga puso ngayon, Let’s have music na pasok na panlasa ng mga inlove at mga nagsesenti.  Ano ano nga ba ung mga kantang madalas pinapakinggan ng mga inlove? Ng mga may date sa Valentine’s Day? Ano ung mga kantang ipapatugtog sa mga restaurant sa araw ng mga puso? This is my Top 10 or more like our Top 10.

10. Blank Space by Taylor Swift

                -Nice to meet you where you been? I’ve been waiting for you since I was a kid. So it’s gonna be forever or it’s gonna go down in Flames? Will I wait for you forever or will I just burn what I feel. You know I got a long list of ex-lovers but I still have the Blank Space reserved for you where I’ll write your name. I get drunk on jealousy please stop flirting with others. I read an article regarding the meaning of the song and it explains that this song is not about love, it’s not about a boy but it’s about Taylor herself. I don’t know but It seems more about welcoming a new person to her life. It’s more about looking forward to knowing her next mistake. Maybe each lines of the song have different meaning and interpretation but it’s with the person who sings it. It depends on the one listening to the music. For me it’s definitely for Valentine’s Day, for people who are single and waiting for their FOREVER.

9. All of Me by John Legend

                -All of me, loves all of you, Love your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfection.  Everyone is lucky enough if they would find the guy that will say these words to them. Being appreciated for who they are is one of the most important things for a girl. Girls might have give their all to you if you’ll give your all to them. They might have loved you if you’ll love them for who they really are. This song is for those who are willing to give everything just for their love ones and willing to accept them for who they are.

8. Love Story by Taylor Swift

                -You’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princess, It’s a love story baby just say yes. This song is like a continuation of Romeo and Juliet. It’s like giving a happy ending to their story. Every teenager has their dream fairytale this girl this is her fairytale. Her dad doesn’t want him for her, you should stay away from her is his exact words. They keep saying what I should feel; having me fixed marriage for the one I don’t want. It’s very difficult if the love is unreal. I’m willing to escape take me wherever you can, just the two of us. I’m begging you to please say even though I know you can. I’ll just wait for you to come back but it seems forever waiting for you. I don’t know if you’ll still come. I might lose hope that you’ll ever come back but then you came and ask me to be with you all you need now is my Yes and I’m giving it to you.  A story with sad beginning but has a happy ending this one’s for those who really sacrifice and waited for so long but still end up together cheers for you guys.

7. Iris by Goo Goo Dolls

                -And I don’t want the world to see me, ‘cause I don’t think that they’d understand. The feeling of love, you feel like no will ever understand you because of the feeling you have. It’s like thinking that they won’t understand because they are not the one who have your heart and felt that deep true love. You’re willing to give up forever for that one moment, for that moment where you’ll be in love, the moment where you can already die. This song might be about two people who love each other but can’t love each other. They might live in different worlds and might have different views in life. Life is complicated so as Love.  It’s a realization that everything is meant to be broken and sooner or later it will be over.

6. Lucky by Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat.

                -Lucky I’m in love with my bestfriend. Many might say this but many might not. You know bestfriends are our partners in crime they are the one that knows everything about us. They knew all our heartbreaks and heartache. Some might actually be inlove with each other, some might have one sided love and some might be friendzoned by their own bestfriend.   The song really says something, it’s like the bestfriend is trying to say something or trying to say that he’s inlove with her bestfriend but he lacks courage. He’s trying really hard to tell her but he can’t. In the girls part she understands his bestfriend but deep down inside her she felt the same way too but can’t admit it. This song is for those people who love their bestfriend but can’t admit it and for those bestfriends that ended up together.

5. I’ll Be by Edwin McCain

                -I’ll be Love’s suicide, is the most controversial line of the song. What does it really means? It’s whatever you think the meaning of it is. For me it has two meaning first is that Love’s suicide because the person is willing to kill himself just for someone to like him. It’s like saying I’m willing to change just for you. Second Love’s suicide because he may mess up in many different circumstances and might think of committing suicide. I don’t know we’ll never know. But the song overall it means that he can be your crying shoulder whether you have a problem or you just feel like crying. He’ll be better when he’s older meaning thru the years that will pass by he’ll be better, he’ll grow and improve this might be the reason you’ll love him more. And he’ll be the greatest fan of your life maybe when you two end up together he’ll still be your fan, he’ll be there for you whatever happens, it’s simply saying that I’ll love you more than anyone will or does.

4. Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran

                -For me the song means loving someone with all your heart for the rest of your life. We grow old, some things changes but the love of me will never change. It’s like shouting to the person you love that even though you grow old until you’re 70 you’ll still love her/him like you did when you were 23. This song fits to those who are willing to spend their lives together forever.

3. Back At One by Brian McKnight

                -Very obvious that we should end up together, don’t deny it cause it’s undeniable. I used to say I will never fall but now I did. Don’t you know what I feel? Let me show you now that I’m real. Let time reveals everything. Step one to five I’ll always be back at one. You’re a dream come true, all I want is to be with you because you’re the only one for me and I’ll make you fall in love with me. Whatever happens I’ll always be back at one. What else can I say? The song itself is very explanatory and easy to understand. A very perfect song for the perfect imperfect couple, just a tip for you guys dance your lady with this song it might be her dream slow dance and you might get the Yes that you’ve been waiting for.

                -When you are able to sing this song and dedicate it to the one you love it means you’re already surrendering in the battle. It means you already gave up on the battle of searching your true love because for you, you already did found your true love. You are more than ready to do anything just for that one person. Even let her do the things she wanted, let her hold the remote control even if you still wanna watch a basketball game. You’re ending the battle because you knew giving up will be the award winning move for that time. This song are for those who already did found their love ones and now spending their lives with each other.

                -You see, every one of us have different taste in terms of music, every one of us have different favorites and each and every one of us has our own love story to make. I can’t state what your number 1 song is for this Valentine’s Day because I don’t even know what song you like. I can’t proclaim that it’s the best Valentine’s Day song because some of us might be sad; some might be happy and some might be heartbroken.  Valentine’s day is not just about how happy and inlove people are. It’s about knowing yourself. It’s about realization on what you want your life would be maybe 2 years, 5 years or even 10 years after. I want you to declare what your number 1 song is because you deserve to declare what it is after all you’re the only person who knows yourself.
