True Love? Many of us don’t believe in true love anymore maybe because of the life experiences and the trials and pains that we have felt. We no longer believe that in our lives one person will come and make us feel true love.  If we really wanted to have our true love we should learn how to love. We should learn that loving someone and entering in a relationship is not that easy. Being ready for relationship is like being ready for the commitment. This is not any other experiment where there is a trial and error this is love where we got to choose wisely. We got to decide carefully. Real world, Real Love.

Toni Gonzaga is one of our Living Maria Clara. She was 24 years old when she entered in her first relationship. Paul Soriano is Toni’s first boyfriend and probably her last. Paul Soriano as we all knows he is a director, a handsome director if I could add. He prefers being behind the camera and do all the work rather than being the actor. As you all know Toni and Paul have been together for 7 years now.

Toni said in one of her interview that Paul has wanted to propose since 2009 but she delayed it. She stopped him from proposing because she knew she wasn’t ready yet. Toni knew she has lots of things she wanted to do. Lots of goals she wanted to accomplish and lots of movie to produce. It was so wonderful that even Toni reject the first proposal Paul still waited and loved her. You can finally say that it is true love, when you are still willing to wait even if you were rejected the first time. And hands down to Toni for knowing what her priorities are. She knew how to control and how to manage things out. Other girls might have said YES even if they weren’t ready yet but Toni she knew what she had to do and she knew what she really wanted.

When did the proposal happen? The proposal happened very fast. It happened last Jan 21 2015, where Toni turned 31. And how did it happen? Here’s the deal Toni and Paul is both in the world of Showbiz but the real thing is that they have their own lives to. They are humans like us; we breathe the same air and live in the same world. They chose to have a private proposal like any other ordinary but perfect couples. They knew they didn’t have to shout to the world that they are finally engage. Paul knew that private proposal is what Toni wanted.

Paul asks permission to Toni’s parents first. That’s the real guy, you should have known the parents and ask them first before proceeding. The next thing Paul did is knock on Toni and Alex’s room and kneel. His exact words after he kneeled were “There are only four of you in the family, May I be allowed to be the new member?” and Even before Paul was finish asking the question “Will you Marry Me?” Toni already answered YES.

Paul knew that he was ready to propose and marry Toni because he has saved already.  He knew that he can give Toni a comfortable life and a life she deserves. If Toni wanted to stop working it wouldn’t be a problem, but of course Paul won’t force Toni to stop what she’s doing if she still love it. Toni on the other hand might think to slow down a little bit as she said in an interview that when a woman is married, her priority should be her husband.

Toni’s parents were very protective and strict but that’s the reason why Toni is one of a kind girl. They never allowed Paul to enter in the second floor until. They never allowed Toni and Paul to travel just the two of us. But still a real man will understand that, that’s why Paul did. He knew that Toni’s parents were just protective because they want them to be sure and not do things they shouldn’t. I admire Paul for being able to control and wait for the right time.

I’m sure their honeymoon will be magical because finally the long wait is over. It will feel like it’s been forever waiting for that first time but I’m the wait? It is worth it. After all they been waiting for 7 years, now the only thing that they are waiting is the wedding date which will definitely be this year.
