the final task

incase you hadn't noticed I've been stalling I get attatched quickly but I might write a book 2 based off an among us game XD

"Did you do it?"
This voice was harsh and demanding. A black haired Slytherin girl. What was this about you ask? Sabotage. What else. "Yes Bella I did," replied Lucius "there isn't meant to be boggarts why did-"
"You're an idiot Lucius this is sabotage of course there isn't meant to be boggarts." snapped Bellatrix "And don't call me Bella."
"Aright alright." sighed Lucius
"And if you hurt my sister you die." she added as an afterthought
I'll take your word for it." said Lucius as he hurried off.

"Did you do it?"
This voice was excited and hopeful. A blonde haired Gryffindor girl. What was this about you ask? Remus. What else. "No Marlene I didn't," replied Sirius "it's too complicated I don't want to ruin our frie-"
"You're an idiot Sirius, this is love of course it'll ruin the friendship!" said Marlene "But it'll make it into something better!"
"How would you know? He probably just doesn't like me that way." sighed Sirius, Marlene had to actively stop herself from facepalming or rolling her eyes,
"If you tell him you die." said Sirius walking off
"Sure." said Marlene.

"A maze? Really?" sighed Remus "I suck at mazes."
"Lucky I don't." said Sirius twiddling with his wand,
"I'm sorry for not wanting you to die!" Remus started raising his voice
"Ah the classic." whispered Lily to Marlene "The acting mad but is just madly in love."
"I'm... sorry?" Sirius was slightly confused, Remus had recently yelled at him a lot,
"Oh wow real mature now you're aking fun of me." Remus slammed his book on the table as he stood up  "I'm just trying to look out for you!"
"R- Remus I-" Sirius was genuinly struggling to understand why Remus was so mad
"I am done with you and your reckless attitude and not even caring about-" started Remus
"I do care about you!" Sirius cut him off "I care about the effort you put in, I care about what you think, why the hell do you think I don't!?"
Remus paused for a moment, why did I think that? he thought, Wait why was I yelling? "Sorry..." he replied "I- I didn't mean it."
"It's ok." replied Sirius, it wasn't one of those fake it's ok's it was real. Then there was an awkward pause "I mean I know you didn't mean it who could be mad at me?" Sirius joked, Remus sniggered
"Literally anyone."
"Fair point."
The next thing that happened was one of those things that happened when you're tired and aren't 100% sure what you're doing.
"Merin Pads, you've made my life better." Remus only noticed what he said that after he said it, he was going to say something but then
"You too Moony."
They could almost hear their hearts racing, this was both the best and most awkward moments of their lives. This is not fair how is it allowed for him to be this cute, thought Sirius, "Hey Moony?"
"Mmm?"
"Have you had a girlfriend before, or a boyfriend, or someone like that?"
"Well in case you hadn't noticed most people avoid me, d'you think it's my face?"
"Definately not, it's probably the fact that you're the one avoiding people."
Remus giggled, then he couldn't stop laughing, Sirius joined in. Everyone else had gone up to bed so the two of them were left laughing their heads off.

The next day was the day of the final task and you would find the marauders in the following places,
Sirius: pacing by the Gryffindor house table muttering in French
Remus: eating but reading up on dangerous creatures
James: trying to convince Sirius to sit down and eat
(Bonus traitor: leaking secrets to Slytherins)
"Damnit Sirius just eat something or you're going to starve to death!" yelled James, making Sirius stop in his tracks
"Fine." he sat down next to Remus and started eating,
"D'you know what a Sphinx is Pads?" asked Remus
"A type of cat isn't it?" suggested Sirius, between mouthfuls, there was a pause, a sphinx is a lion with the head of a woman that tells riddles that you answer or die,
"Uh," replied Remus "sure let's go with that."
"If I'm wrong why don't you correct me?" asked Sirius,
"The best way to learn is with the intense pressure and fear for your life." said Remus, simply "Just think properly don't lose your head."
"Oookay then?"
"It's time for you to go down to the pitch." said James "Take food."
"Yes Yes." Sirius grabbed some bread and headed down to the quidditch pitch with Marlene.
