The Gryffindor's were celebrating Marlene's victory (coming second) but all Sirius got was Madame Maxime telling him he did well then his brother congratulating him then being dragged back to his room by a friend.

Sirius sat alone in his room, he had changed rooms, into a bigger one because he'd been selected as champion. It gave him room to practice, he wasn't sure what he was meant to practice though.

Remus sat alone to the edge of the party, as usual, he was trying to study but everyone was being loud. He considered going up to his room, then remembered that's where James would pass out in about ten minutes.

Remus spotted Sirius walking down to the lake wait what? he thought surely the Beauxbatons would have some sort of party? "Is that Sirius?" asked James who'd just come over, Remus nodded "Wait what? Why isn't he partying?" the sound of not partying after a victory sounded ludicrous to James. "We should see if if he wants to come here!" he yelled like he'd invented wands, he opened the window and yelled "SIRIUUUS!" Sirius turned at his name to see James hanging out of the window "COME HEEEEEEERE!" Sirius climbed up to outside the window,
"What happened to him?" he asked Remus
"Little too much firewhiskey," smirked Remus
"Nah," laughed James "come join the party Padfoot!"
"Wait what!? Really!?" Sirius had never been invited anywhere before, James nodded so Sirius climbed through the window "Sorry Moony." he said as he fell onto the desk,
"No worries," sniggered Remus who was used to it, he liked being called Moony now, it reminded him of what Sirius had said.

The party was in full swing and Sirius was actually enjoyinh himself with his new friends, he had a few drinks... maybe a little too many. He tried his best to avoid Remus, so he wouldn't spill out the fact that he was in love with him accidentally, when he saw a girl infront of Remmus' desk, at first he was a little jealous, then he saw Remus' face, it was that clear get me out of this situation look. As Sirius made his way over, he realised the girl was trying to get Remus to have a drink but clearly Remus wasn't too keen. "Excuse me." he tapped the girl on the shoulder, she turned round "Don't think he particularly wants a drink, go ask someone else." he kept his voice steady so as to seem like he wasn't incredibly drunk but the girl wasn't going anywhere. "And I'd listen to you why?" she asked
"Because you're very drunk and should probably get some water." replied Sirius, the girl turned back to Remus waving a drink in his face
"Just take it buddy!" she was leaning on the desk now, Sirius took the drink from her hand and put it on one of the tables and swapped it for some water then gave it back to her, she barely noticed either,
"Why don't you drink it then?" asked Sirius, the girls eyes went wide,
"Good idea!" she ran off to go drink it somewhere else and neither of them really knew why.
"Th- thanks." muttered Remus
"Anytime," smiled Sirius "not that it's likely to heppen again."
"HEY WHY DON'T WE SEE WHAT THE CLUE IS!?" someone yelled, there were cheers of agreement, then Marlene got on a table with her chicken and held it up.
It did nothing.
She poked it.
Nothing.
She shook it.
"Why won't it tell me?" she whined,
"Ok get off the table now Marls." laughed Dorcas
"Anything for yooouuu." said Marlene half jumping half falling off the table, laughing. Marlene crashed into Sirius who half fell over and had to grab Remus to stay up
"I think I'm falling for you Lupin." he laughed as Remus went red.

Sirius had sat with Remus for about half an hour when he slammed down his quill and got up "Screw it I'm getting a drink," he said
"If it's because of stress or peer pressure that's a bad habit to get into." warned Sirius who genuinly cared about Remus' life
"Nope" replied Remus "It's because everyones having fun and I wanna have fun too."
Fair enough, thought Sirius, what's the worst that could happen?
Sirius wasn't sure what the worst was but he was sure what happened was definately in the top ten. At first, it was going fine but then Remus had started losing control over his words, he shouted at random people and was falling over a lot. "I think you should have some water Moony." said Sirius,
"No I'm fiiiine Pads." Remus was definately not fine,
"Ok come with me," Sirius took Remus through the crowd and into the boys bathroom where Remus sat on the floor - for no apparent reason - and Sirius gave him some water.
"How's your brother?" asked Remus dazedly,
"Um, fine?" replied Sirius, slightly confused
"Uh huh?" Remus was barely paying attention, when he fell onto Sirius' lap he just giggled like a child.
"I think you're falling for me now Lupin." said Sirius smiling
"Yeah," replied Remus which is not what Sirius was expecting "I am, you're very nice."
Sirius would've loved to hear this any other time but it was probably the firewhiskey talking so he left it, "You are very nice too," he smiled sadly "and very drunk. You should get some sleep."
"Come with meeeee," this was definately not what Sirius was expecting
"Excuse me?"
"Come. With. Me."

Sirius ended up having to take Remus to bed, then climb out the window to go back to his room. If only he wasn't drunk, he thought, would have said it if he wasn't? No. Does he even like me that way? No. So I should leave it and move on? Yes. Will I? Probably not. He climbed through his window to see Regulus sitting in his room with a letter "Reg?" he asked "What happened?"
"Where were you?" he got in reply
"In the Gryffindor common room, are you ok?"
"Why were you there?"
"I was invited now answer my question."
"I-" Regulus fiddled with the letter "Mum and Dad want you to come home for Christmas, they don't want you attending the ball."
Sirius did not want to go back for Christmas. He sat down and began to write a letter. "What're you writing?" asked Regulus
"I'm telling them the champions have to go to the ball and that they can ask Dumbledore if they don't believe me." replied Sirius
"But they will ask Dumbledore won't they?"
"Yep, Dumbledore said that the champions had to."
Regulus sighed in relif, he didn't like watching his brother being tortured for something that didn't even happen (Being in Gryffindor).

The next day, Regulus came over to the Gryffindor table "Sirius?"
"What is it?" replied Sirius, sensing that something was wrong
"Ils ont dit qu'ils venaient au bal." (They said they're coming to the ball)
"Attends QUOI!?" the others didn't know what was happening but hearing Sirius yell made them interested (wait what), along with half the room
"What's up mate?" said James, who somehow had no hangover
"Nothing." muttered Sirius as people went back to their food "Just mildly surprised"

*AN*
I am very excited to write the ball I already know what's going to happen.
