Chapter 5: The Love is Heating Up

I've been the Red Hood for almost a month now, and I've gotten the attention. Not all good, more criminals have been rising, and a new archer has been out there. She's been killing random people trying to get my attention, and she's got it. She calls herself Cupid. I've been dealing with a man called Heat wave, he stole a heat gun from a company that as they say, "work on the future. "

" Cassie how's Heat Wave? "

" Latest info was two hours ago. "

" Where? "

" A warehouse. "

" I'm going to check it out. "

When I got to the warehouse it was quite, but I knew he had to be here. I'm walking in ready to fight this maniac. I had to be careful I wasn't fire proof. This guy could burn me at any moment.

" Heat Wave! Where are you buddy? "

" Get out of here, before things get to HOT! "

" Really man don't make this harder than it has too. "

I felt a sudden heat coming at from behind, when I turned around I saw a flame of fire coming at me, I dropped to the ground to avoid it.

" Things are really heating up! "

" Oh boy! Damn you're cheesy. "

" You're gonna burn up! "

I ran at him to fight him. He was good, he try to hit me with his heat gun, but I ducked and grabbed his arm and broke it.

" Son of a bitch! "

I ignored him and kicked the heat gun away from him.

" Cassie call the cops so they can pick this guy up. " I said to my earpiece.

I stop paying attention to Heat Wave because when I turned around he was burning the building.

" Shit gotta save him! " I said to myself.

" Bryan you gotta get outta there! "

" But he'll die! "

" You'll die if you stay there! " she yelled into my ear

" Okay Cassie I'm leaving get the cops here. "

" They're already on the way. "

He didn't have to die, I wanted to put him in prison, he been burning random buildings for a week now. But now I had to find Cupid. I went back home with some groceries as an excuse to what I was doing.

" Babe I'm home. "

" What you doing? "

" Just cleaning up a little, what you get? "

" Just some things I thought we needed, simple things like milk and stuff. "

Hours later she left to hang out with Danielle, and that's when I left to Verdant.

" Aright Cassie details on Cupid. "

" Okay she's killed three innocent men today, she's left the same note on all of the dead bodies that read, " come find me hooded lover. "

" Okay I'll check those later, Cupid is first since she's killing innocents. "

When I got the scene there was a note on the body that read " Look for me my love. " This chick had to be really fucking crazy.

" I wouldn't call me crazy, more crazy in love. But you know love does that to people. "

She got closer to me, but I didn't want to punch her.

She got closer being very seductive, I was highly distracted.

" We can be together, we can leave this and spend our time together. "

" Look... Cupid I don't want to hurt you just give yourself up. "

She got closer too me, she got close to me, to kiss me. I backed up.

" I...I have... "

She interrupted me and backed away from me.

" A girlfriend?! Urghhhhh! Why! She doesn't deserve you! "

She got really mad, she punched my stomach, kneed my face, and kicked me down. She grabbed one of her arrows and shot it next to me on the ground.

" Bye! Boo "

She ran away and threw a kiss.

" Uh Cassie? "

" What the fuck was that, ugh you're such a man. "

" Uh I'm just gonna go home before Laurel gets back. "

I did exactly that, I went home and just went to bed. I didn't know what to think, now that's she was gone for now I could concentrate on Bronze Tiger.
