You open your closet doors, taking out the baby blue dress you bought with Emily yesterday. Setting it on your bed, you admire how pretty it is. It's going to look amazing on you.
As you glance at your clock, you decide it's time to do your hair and makeup. Emily will be here in forty minutes to pick you up for Rossi's. As usual, you sit down in front of the mirror attached to your door—sitting because standing while getting ready is overrated.
You look through your eye shadow pallets, trying to choose a good color that would add some pop to your dress. If you give yourself the benefit of the doubt about something, it would be that you are good at makeup.
After you're done with the makeup, you plug in your hair curler. You decide on doing loose beach waves. You love how they look with your hair and it is the fastest to do since you are behind on time a bit. The makeup look took longer than expected.
After you finish your hair, you grab the dress and slip it on, immediately glad Emily found this one because it fits perfectly. You open your closet back up, grabbing a pair of heels—out of your large selection—that match your outfit.
You take one final look in the mirror, feeling confident. As you turn around, you get a text from Emily saying she's here.
. . .
Twenty minutes later, you and Emily pull up to Rossi's place. You're immediately amazed. His house really is incredible. You see now why he doesn't like when people call it a house. House doesn't do it justice. Honestly, you're surprised. I mean, you know Rossi is loaded, but you didn't know he's this loaded.
"Are you ready to be amazed?" Emily asks, smiling.
"Yes! I can't wait." You chuckle at her as you both step out of the car. You look around the outside of the house, seeing the warm, comforting light peeking through his curtains.
As you approach the door, Emily turns to you with a sweet look. "Everyone is gonna lose it when they see you! You look so amazing Y/N."
"You're too sweet, Em. Thank you." You give her an appreciative look. She is always so kind.
You feel the breeze blow your hair as you reach for Rossi's doorbell. A short moment later, you see the door open, revealing a cheery Rossi with an apron on. "Girls! You made it! You two look beautiful." He smiles big as he lets you two in.
"Y/N, it's so great to have you join us for your first Rossi dinner!" He leads the way to the kitchen.
"Thank you!" you respond as you look around, admiring his finely decorated walls. Everything looks so expensive. Book deals really must rake in the money...
As you enter the kitchen, the smell similar to an Italian restaurant hits your nose. You see Hotch sitting in front of the stove where Rossi must have just been cooking. Hotch is on his phone talking to someone.
As you take in Rossi's kitchen, admiring it all again. You see Garcia and JJ nearing you and Emily. "Hey girls!" they say to you both, going in for a hug. They take a good look at you, and then flood you with compliments.
Despite only being apart for a few days, everyone is always excited to see each other outside of work. Everyone really is so kind. Maybe this is the normal way friends are supposed to be, but you can't help but love them all so much. They are the realest and kindest people you've ever met. You feel as if you've known them all for years despite only having met them a week ago. And despite the short time, they have all treated you with more welcomeness than most people you've known your entire life have.
