Chapter 17

Hugo's POV
Iwas just standing around waiting for someone pass by and enter Hogwarts so I wouldn't be noticed when so heard a bloodcurdling scream. I turned to my right and there was Lily covering her ears and screaming looking like she might tip over. I rushed to her side just in time to catch her as she collapsed and I laid her down or the grass.
"Lily? What happened?" I asked her in genuine concern as all she did was scream and clutch her ears. "Whoa! Lily, Lily, talk to me! What happened?" I saw in her eyes as she looked over full of pain as she tried to do anything but scream but was unable to. I didn't know what to do so I laid her head on my lap and stroked her hair as I tried to make her feel better and understand what the hell was going on. I was looking around for clues or something but found nothing as I continued stroking her hair and caressing her. I wanted to get her out of there but she kept kicking and squirming so I decided to just let her calm down first. Then, the weirdest thing happened, her hands suddenly dropped she stopped kicking the grass and screaming and she just lay unconscious. the whole thing happened in like 20 seconds as her eyes were filled with fear and then just shut.
"Lily? What the hell is going on? Lily?" I started shaking her nothing. I hoped she wasent dead and just fainted as I carried her bridal style out of there. I usually don't think of her in any other way then being friends but I couldn't help noticing her beauty as her golden hair fell on my arms or remember the kiss she gave me as I passed through the train tracks this time lucky enough to not have a train on its way through. I got kind of tired when I reached the train station so I found a bench and laid her down with her head on my lap as I processed what happened and how I was to tell her super overprotective parents. They would kill me. I finally reached her doorstep and decided to take one for the team as I ringed the doorbell. The door opened on aunt Ginny who looked very sad and pale compared to before we left. Her eyes saw me and traveled to the young girl who I had over my shoulder (to be honest, she wasn't all that heavy, pretty light actually. Her eyes then widened when she caught glimpse of the girls golden blonde hair and realized exactly who it was then with fury they traveled up to my face where I blushed and did my best effort to make an innocent smile. They then went back and forth and back and forth between us as she couldn't believe what she was seeing. she finally managed to speak.
"Is she... dead?" She asked me as uncle Harry walked by and stood at the door with the same expression.
"I'm pretty sure she just fainted" I said awkwardly scared of what uncle Harry might say. He refused to look me in the eye because he was very obviously mad at me.
"Well what are you waiting at the door for, let's go lie her down!" He finally said.
They bundled her up in blankets and everything as I stood at the door (of her room) awkwardly.
"So I should get going now..." I said starting to walk away wanting to make sure my parents weren't in the same condition as them after we left.
"No young man, you are staying here and you're parents are coming to get you" Aunt Ginny said clearly afraid that I would leave again. I nodded and went to sit down on the couch. Aunt Ginny walked over to me.
"Did you find them?Are they ok?" Aunt Ginny said full of hope. I looked down ashamed of not being able to complete such a simple task and shook my head. Every last bit of hope drained from her face from that slight movement of the head.
"I'm sorry aunt Ginny, they wouldn't let us enter, but we saw Hagrid who told us stories about you guys and we drank his tea. He didn't believe that anyone would want to have children with someone like Voldemort and frankly, I think so too." I said trying to loosen the mood a little. She gave a little smile but then returned to her normal self. Then someone rang the doorbell. My head shot up when I heard mom and dad's voice mumbling. Aunt Ginny opened the door with me beside her. As soon as mom and dad saw me, mom gave me a kiss on the top of my head and hugged me tightly while whispering to me. I noticed their red, puffy eyes as soon as they opened the door. Mom wasn't wearing makeup or the nice clothes she usually wears, her hair was really tangly and I could tell that not mom nor dad handled it well, which I thought they would be able to do.

"We were worried sick, don't ever do that again!" She said in the most serious tone i've ever heard her have. Then dad patted me on the back.                                                                                             "Yeah son, your mother was really worried, so don't leave the house without permission like that again!" When he saw my glare he started chuckling "I'm just kidding man, I missed you too, where'd you even go?" I kicked myself mentally for not being prepared for that question "We went a little bit everywhere, mostly to visit friends and stuff"                                                                                       "Where's Lily?" Mom finally asked. I looked at the ground nervously as aunt Ginny un expectantly backed me up in that question probably for taking care of Lily.                                                                   "She's really tired, she's sleeping, Hugo looks pretty tired too" I nodded and we drove home. They tucked me into bed but I couldn't sleep, I was thinking about that moment over and over again ashamed that I didn't protect her. As we drove home mom and dad barely even looked at each other, I could feel the tension.
