Lily's POV
Tonight, 12:00. Bench in park. Make sure no one follows you.
Im sitting on my bed crossing my legs. I turn on my iPod. 11:30pm. I don't know whether I should go. Peoples lives are on the line. I'm not supposed to tell anyone. I am done with this stress. I'm 10. I want to live a normal life. Is that too much to ask for? I slip in my earphones and listen to my Spotify playlist. Can't Pretend by Tom Odell. I fall back in my bed and close my eyes.

But people's lives will be on the line if I don't do anything! I sit up alarmed at this thought and check the time. 12:05am. He might be leaving. I grab my cardigan and speed-tiptoe down the stairs. I see a light on in the living room and stop myself just in time. I look over and see mom talking.

"-I'm concerned about her. She's 10."
"What do we do? Should we be talking to someone about this? We need to do something!"
At first I think she's talking to dad but dad's at work and as I run quietly to the door in the kitchen I see the phone she's holding. I open the door and close it quietly. When I arrive at the bench, I don't see anyone there. I look around and I can see a figure walking towards uncle Ron's house. I jog over to his side and stop in front of him.

"Hugo! Hugo, its Lily!" I shout. He turns around, squints for a second but then runs over and grabs hold of me.
"Lily! We were supposed to meet here at 12:00! I was about to leave!"
"I'm sorry, I got kind of... Busy." I use that word to describe why I arrived so late. Suddenly he becomes tense.
"What happened in there? And don't lie and tell me nothing or it was an upset stomach since we both know it wasn't. You can trust me." He grabs both of my wrists and only then can I see the pure panic and worry in his eyes.
"I... I... My... I..." I don't know what to tell him. He just named every excuse I could use in my defense.
"Lily?" He tips me chin up with his finger. "You can trust me. Please tell me." He says quietly. For some reason the contact with him made me burst into tears and I collapse against him, burrying my face in his shoulder. He wasn't expecting that and doesn't do anything for a moment, but then he strokes my hair patiently and kisses the top of my head while I let it all out. After a while, I back up, embarassed at my sudden burst of tears. I look at the ground to avoid eye contact.
"Sorry. I'm just, dealing with a lot more than I can handle right now." I apologize.
"Its fine. I understand. You're handling it all pretty well if you ask me." I look up at him with tears in my eyes.
"Hugo, I want to tell you, I really do, but I can't. This is a life or death situation. I'm sorry but I can't risk that." He nods slowly.
"OK... But what I don't understand is what happened at Hogwarts. Why did you faint?"
I think about lying to him, but with the desperation in his eyes, I owe him at least this. He came all the way there with me and I just hide it from him? That's not right. I decide to tell him at least part of the truth.

Hey guys! What will Hugo think? Will Lily tell him the rest? Will the girl find out?
