Lily's POV
I proudly walk down the stairs. This feels good. I see my mom drinking coffee and my dad reading music. My mom gets up when she sees me, surprised at first at my happiness, but then, to go make something for me. I walk over to her and slide her hand away. My dad even joins in on the confused look mom is giving me.

"Today, I want to make breakfast for everyone. To you know, apologize for leaving like that, and because today I'm in a good mood. Is that okay?"

My mom pulls her hand away and looks at me as if I have two heads, my dad shares the same confused look. This is the first time I requested such a thing but I grabbed a cookbook and decided on pancakes. I turned my back to my parents and slid on an apron as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

As I was flipping the last pancake with the pan I placed it in the bowl next to me. I had about 15. That would be 5 each. I may have made a little too much but oh well, I can take care of that. I place 5 on my mom's plate and 5 on my dad's then place 5 in mine. My dad reaches for them and I lightly slap them away.
"Not yet, dad, wait."
I add butter which melts into the pancakes due to the heat, I add syrup and sprinkle a teeny bit of sugar on the tops. My dad reaches for it again and I frown slapping his hand away again.
"Dad, hold your stomach." He chuckles and I grin. I made coffee again for dad since it ran out and he wanted more and green tea for my mom since she doesn't drink too much coffee. I turn around and pour them into each cup and hot cocoa for mine. I then turn around and look straight at dad who looks back at me with pleading eyes as if asking for permission.
"Yes, dad go on." I say with a chuckle and we all dig in. All the while, my parents never take their eyes off of me.
"Well that was good. Dishes on me." I leave and plop down on the couch grinning when I see the frightened look they give each other. My parents bring me to the beach where we have a picnic and swim. Hugo was there too along with some muggle friends my parents have so we didn't even mention what happened. When we get home, I turn on Netflix and watch some Supernatural and TVD with my mom and dad. Before we even realize it, it's 11 o'clock at night. That was the best night I've had in a while, sometimes I wish I just didn't have magic. My life could've been like this every day if I didn't.

I beg to differ! I would give anything to get magic and to be in the potter family! So hey guys, this chapter was kinda short but the next few will be interesting. Also, I'm aware that you guys probably noticed that this book is not really like the Harry Potter books, like the activities and stuff, like Netflix and the beach but I thought that wizards living with muggles trying to adapt in the muggle world would be an interesting new concept to read. I hope you think so too :)!
