Chapter 3 The surprise

When Hazel was on her way home she saw a box that read free. Then she looked inside this curious little box and saw an adorable puppy. He was a dachshund. It looked as if he was in there for a long time as she crouched to pet him and he jumped into her lap. I'm going name you Jumper. She thought. Then she went to the pet store and got two big bags of food, two bowls, a small bed, some toys, a collar doggie bags, and a leash. She tried to put him in the car but he kept jumping out. She sighed and put him in her lap and drove home. She got out of the car and grabbed Jumper, put his leash on and started to set up. She made a treasure hunt with the toys that would end in finding Jumper. When she was done she couldn't find Jumper she had forgotten to tie up his leash. But why did he leave? Did he smell something then she heard something walking towards the backyard. On one hand she needed to find a jumper on the other hand she didn't know what was on the other side of that wall or if it was dangerous. She heard Jumper bark. She didn't know if he was scared, hurt, happy or safe. As she slowly walked to the wall she looked around the corner and gasped...
