Marks

A few more weeks pass and I'm feeling healthier. I look and feel more like a normal person.

Kiyoko's finally letting me out of the house and I really want to go shopping... and actually go to work. Either of my jobs- the superhero job or the job in the basement.

"Iwa-chan~" I look up at him with big puppy dog eyes.

"What do you want, Shittykawa?" He asks, rolling his eyes.

"Can I go to work?" I bat my eyelashes like an old cartoon character.

"No." Iwa pushes back his chair and stands up, putting the file he was looking at into a filing cabinet.

"Please~" I beg.

"No." Is the same response.

"Why not?" I pout and Iwa rolls his eyes again.

He flops down into his chair, leaning back. He puts his reading glasses on and looks at me over the top of them.

"Because, you're only just cleared to go out. You're definitely not healthy enough to be fighting crime anymore and the job in the basement is off the cards for the time being. You're still getting your dizzy spells and I can't let you have one of those on stage." Iwa says.

I try pouting with puppy eyes.

Iwaizumi looks back at his computer and clicks a little bit before leaning back and pushing his glasses up into his spiky mess of hair.

"I have a gala for the company next week that slipped my mind. Our friends will be there, and it's going to be held at a beautiful outside location. A safe location as well. I can arrange for you to go shopping with friends beforehand for whatever you want to wear to the gala." He says.

I squeal and jump up, ignoring the immediate dizziness and throwing myself at Iwa. I feel his arms wrap around my waist and I think he's glaring at me. My vision's blurred in my dizziness.

"Tooru, did you have a dizzy spell?" He asks. I would usually get annoyed at the condescending tone but IWA'S TAKING ME TO A GALA AND LETTING ME GO SHOPPING!!! I nod and he rubs my back.

"Okay I'll start ringing people now. Do you want to join me?" Iwa says. I nod he lets me get more comfortable before he starts the first phonecall.

The shopping group ends up being me, Sugawara, Kenma, Akaashi, Tendou and Hinata.

We agree to meet at Iwa's house and so, on the day of the shopping trip, there's a knock at the door and 10 people come piling in.

I hug my friends and we gush over our lives.

"'Kawa, come here." I hear Iwaizumi say. I stand up and walk over to him, gripping onto his arm for balance so I can stay standing.

He was in the middle of talking with Daichi, Bokuto and Kuroo and the other three men stay instead of dispersing.

"I was thinking of getting the first part of your mark done whilst we're out today." Iwa tells me. I nearly forgot about that. He's getting me microchipped and then I'm getting a tattoo. "How about you go and ask your friends to see their marks so you can get an idea of what tattoo you might like?" He suggests. I nod and walk back over to my friends.

"Hi, Iwa-chan just wanted to talk to me about getting marked." I tell them, flopping down onto the sofa and curling my legs up.

"Oh, I remember getting marked." Tendou says.

"Yeah, of course you do, Ten. Your boyfriend gave you a reward and you couldn't walk for a week." Suga teases.

I try not to laugh.

"I-I was wondering if I could maybe see your marks so I can get an idea of what it looks like and what I might want." I ask. Everyone agrees and nearly get into an argument for who gets to show me first.

It seems that these marks are like fancy jewellery that you want to show off to people or a badge of honour. These marks mean a lot more than I anticipated. I don't really know why I'm surprised, the marks keep them safe.

They finally decide to show me in order of when they got them.

"I got mine as soon as Daichi became my co-boss. He wanted me to be safe and devised an idea of how to do so. The others used the idea as well. Look, that's my tattoo." Sugawara tells me the story behind his mark as he rolls up his shirt sleeve and eventually I can see a black mark.

It's a crow, with a banner beneath it reading 'Karasuno DS'. Karasuno, Daichi Sawamura. It's simple and subtle, but anyone in the Underworld would know exactly what it meant.

Akaashi's next. His is an owl on his shoulder blade, the owl looks like Bokuto and has the initials KB under it in cursive. Printed under the 'KB' is 'Fukurodani'.

Tendou's next. His is a white eagle on his thigh. It has Shiratorizawa and WU written underneath it in neat writing.

"Ushi begged to do the writing himself." Tendou tells us.

Last is Kenma.

"I wanted to get it under my ribs but they wouldn't let me." He says, pulling up his hoodie to reveal his mark. It's a silhouette of a cat in roughly the same place as Tendou's. The cat has vertical writing on each side. One side says Nekoma, the other has the initials TK.

The marks look cool but they revolve around their team mascot. Aoba Johsai never had a mascot.

"Ooh, I just had an idea for Oikawa's mark!" Shoyo says. We all look at him. "The Seijoh team colour is really similar to the iconic Tiffany Blue. On Tiffany's jewellery it says "Please return to Tiffany and Co." How about you get a tattoo that looks like a Tiffany's Necklace but instead it says Seijoh. And then do Aoba Joshai and HI up the sides like on Kenma's."

Wow.

I rush over and hug him.

"Omg, Chibi-chan I love you! You are so smart!" I say. He smiles and I melt. How is he so cute?

"Alright, Oikawa, you're crushing him." Sugawara warns and I pull away.

"Can we go shopping yet?"
