You idiot, Tooru

To say Hajime Iwaizumi was surprised to see his enemy at his doorstep with any intention other than to defeat him would be an understatement. The understatement of the century. Nonetheless, he dragged the unconscious boy into his home and shut the door. He lifted the boy with surprising ease and carried him with care to his bedroom before laying him on the mattress and tucking him in. Haijme searched for Tooru's phone and clicked on the emergency contact.

It's only once he's looked at the contact name that he realises his mistake. Of course the superhero's emergency contact is the Police Chief: Chief Daichi Sawamura.

"Hello?" Comes the voice of... not Daichi. This voice is higher but still masculine.

"Sugawara-san?" Hajime says in surprise.

"Iwa- Rock? What the hell are you doing with my best friend?! "

"Sugawara-san, he came to my house and passed out. He's on death's door. I called his emergency contact... Who is not you..." Mumbling is heard on the other end of the phone.

"Rock! What do you want with Grand King?" Chief Daichi Sawamura says through the phone.

"I want you to tell me if he has any medical problems I should be aware of." Hajime hasn't seen Tooru in half a decade- he could've easily picked up something in that time.

"What?"

"Shitttykawa came to my house and passed out. He's been attacked and needs urgent medical care. How soon can you get here?" There's muffled chatter at the other end.

"Just let us collect his file from the BOS and then we'll head to your house... which is where?"

"xxxxx"

The phone changes speaker again.

"Okay, thanks Rock. Do we need to send over a doctor?"

"No need. I have one in my house at all times. I'm a supervillain remember?"

"Bye, Zumi-san."

Iwaizumi puts down his phone and looks at the boy in his bed.

"You idiot, Tooru."

The doors to the room open and in walks a beautiful young lady, the same age as the two men. She has shoulder-length black hair and dark blue eyes. She has a cute little beauty mark by her mouth as well. (I am a simp and I have no regrets)

"Iwai-... Is that... I'll start now. Out, shoo. Find some clothing for him." Kiyoko shoos Iwaizumi from the room.

"Where is my bestie?" I wake up for the second time today but in a different way. This time I was woken up.

"Mr Refreshing!" I say, audible excitement in my voice.

My best friend soon appears at the door to the room I'm in and rushes forward to hug me.

"Tooru, what did he do to you? You look pretty bad." Sugawara worries over me. I can't blame him. Instead of being a dad friend, his mom friend instincts kicked in at the beginning of high school.

"I-Iwa helped me! I got mugged and beaten up so I came here." I protest. "I guess my heart realised who he was before my head did." I say quietly.

Suga pulls away and looks at me with a sad look.

"You still like him, don't you, Tooru?"

I look away, unable to meet his eye.

"So, what's the plan?" He asks, thankfully changing the subject. "Are you staying here until you're recovered? Are you his hostage? Are you going back to your house?"

I feel the blood drain from my face as I remember what was tacked to my door the last time I went to my apartment.

Being a superhero doesn't mean anything. The bureau give you enough money to get by and, unless you have another job, that's all the money you earn. I always disappear from the scene as quickly as possible but that means no presents from adoring fans.

Without the mask, I'm your average broke young adult who miraculously graduated uni.

"Tooru?" I look at my best friend, my vision blurring from tears. "Oh, sweetheart what happened?" He pulls me into a hug.

"E-Eviction notice." I tell him, starting to sob. He rubs my back and makes soothing noises like I'm a baby but it surprisingly helps.

I hear the door creaking, followed by footsteps.

"Oika- Woah, what happened?" I hear Iwa-chan say.

The light from the window gets temporarily blocked and there's an extra weight on the bed. I feel Koushi's arms slip away and two new arms grab me and lift me up.

I open my eyes to see Iwa-chan lifting me onto his lap. Once I'm seated, I rub my eyes to get rid of the last few tears.

"Oi, why were you crying? It wasn't because of me was it?" Iwa-chan asks. I shake my head. "Phew. Then what was it?"

I look down.

"Eviction notice." I tell him. He wraps his arms around me in a hug and pulls me closer to his chest. He shuffles so that he can lean against the headboard but then resumes hugging me. He gently rubs my back with one hand and is holding my hand with the other.

"Tooru." He says. I look up at him. "You can stay with me for as long as you want or need to. If your attackers knew who you were, this was probably targeted and planned. They could be part of something bigger. If you stay here with me, I can help you bring justice and get revenge. What do you say?"

I just stare at him. He's so generous and sweet and still trying to protect and save me and defend my honour. He's my Iwa-chan.

I nod.

"I'll tell Daichi that you're working with me on taking down a bigger criminal organisation so the cops leave you alone." I tell him. He smiles.

"Is there anything you need from your apartment? Books, important belongings..." He asks. I nod.

"Everything of any importance to me is in the big red box by the front door. It's on wheels so it's easy to transport."

"Cool. I'll ask Kiyoko to get it for you."

I stare into the distance silently.

"What's up, Trashykawa? Why are you being so quiet?" He asks. I shake my head.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" I ask him. He hugs me a little bit closer.

"Because I missed you, Tooru. I missed my best friend. I was a dick and I'm sorry so I'm trying to make things right." He says. I sigh and lean further into him.

"I missed you too, Hajime." I tell him quietly.

I close my eyes and start to fall asleep.

The door crashes open.

"Boss- MAKKI!" Fucking Matsukawa Issei.
