Narrator's POV
It was a beautiful day in Greenwood. Leah a blonde-headed girl who is straightforward, honest, and very patient. Leah wore a pink shirt with stars on it. She also wore a blue skirt and purple leggings and she wore golden yellow shoes. Leah was almost done working on her homework.
Leah: 4 plus 10 equals 14 and done! Now with homework's done I guess I can call Zac to see how he's are doing.*walks over to the kitchen, grabs the phone and dial in Zac's number*
Zac:*on the phone* Hey Leah.
Leah: Hi Zac,how have you been doing?
Zac: I've been doing great. yourself?
Leah: Well,I have been feeling a bit lonely around the house when mom and dad are at work. You and I hang out since we are best friends but I can't help but feel like there's something missing.
Zac: Don't worry, it happens happen a lot. Maybe you just need to think outside the box see if you want to have a pet or- Rocket no! Sorry Leah I have to go. Rocket's chewing on my toys again. Bye!
Leah: Bye Zac. *Hangs up the phone* Hmm... Maybe Zac is right? what if a pet does help me not feel lonely.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang Leah went over to the door figuring it might be her parents home from work. But when the blonde-headed girl opened the door she did not see her parents but instead a basket covered with a baby blue blanket. Leah gasped while crouching down in front of the basket and lifting the basket. The creature underneath the blanket was a baby light blue with peach arms, belly, muzzle and ears and beautiful Black with white irises looking back at Leah.
Baby hedgehog: Mama?
Leah: Aw, cute little guy-what are you doing out here all by yourself? *starts looking around* Hello? Is anyone there?
Leah's POV
No one was there to answer me. I looked back down at the baby hedgehog and smiled- the poor little hedgehog looked innocent and hopeless to me.
Leah:Where's your family little guy? Don't worry I'm sure my parents will let me take care of you.
Then I noticed a small piece of paper on the basket, It read:
To whoever is reading this,
You have found my son. I beg you to look after him while I'm gone but I will return someday. Until then would you look after him for me? He means everything to me. FYI, his name is Sonic the Hedgehog and he is one year old, you'll find out why that's his name later on. But for now, I look forward to meeting you in the future.
Sincerely,
Anonymous
I looked in the basket and there was a bundle of red shoes, socks,a ring(called the Ring of Power) and a large green gem. The note read as follows:
P.S.
These shoes, socks, and gloves will be for Sonic when he gets older. Trust me; he will need them, especially the shoes. And the ring and gem that are packed in with him, well, they will be useful one day. But keep it in a protected area until Sonic is eight years old.
Sincerely(again)

Narrator's POV
Leah took Sonic and the basket inside her house. As her parents got home they were surprised to see a hedgehog in their home. Jane and John(Leah's parents) were discussing with their daughter about the hedgehog.
Leah: Come on mom,dad can I keep him?
Jane: Who's going to feed him?
Leah: I will.
John: Who's going to clean him?
Leah: I will. I'll do everything.
Jane: you think your ready to do it?
Leah: Yes, I am. Can I keep him please? *Gives Jane and John puppy eyes*
John: I'm not sure...
Jane: Well we'll think about it, for now I need to talk to your father alone.
Leah: Yes mom.
Leah took Sonic to her room. She watched the little hedgehog trying to walk but kept falling on his bottom but kept on trying. Leah was worried for the little guy if her parents said no, where else would he go? Soon Jane came into the room.
Jane: Leah.
Leah: Yes mom?
Jane: Your father and I discussed it and you... can keep the hedgehog.
Leah felt so happy she could cry. She run to her mother and gave her a big hug.
Leah: Thank you mom! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Jane: Your welcome my daughter. Its time for bed, where is the hedgehog going to sleep until we get a crib for him?
Leah: Well he can sleep in my bed and also the hedgehog's name is Sonic.
Jane: Alright, Sonic it is. Now put on your pajamas and go to bed.
Leah: Ok.
Jane leaves Leah's room while Leah put on her pajamas. As soon as Leah finished putting on her pajamas she hops into her bed.
Leah: Sonic, come on time for bed.
Sonic walks over to Leah's bed. Leah helps Sonic onto her bed and puts the covers on her and Sonic. as soon he's in the covers Sonic goes straight to sleep while Leah looks at him.
Leah: Good night, my little brother.
