Chapter 3: Leah's Secret Genies

Today Leah, her parents, and Sonic were heading to the carnival. Sonic was so excited that he could just scream with joy.

Sonic: Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! I can't believe we're going to the carnival! Are we there yet?

Leah: Sonic, I know your excited but you need to calm down.

Sonic: Your right sister. Hey mom, dad are we there yet?

Jane: Funny you should ask Sonic because we're here!

Sonic: Yes! Finally!

John parks the car outside the carnival and the family gets out the car.

Sonic: Woo! Let's go!

Leah:*grabs Sonic's arm* Hold on sonic before we go in the carnival dad has to go over the rules first.

Sonic: Oh yeah. right.

John: Remember you two, no talking to strangers and we meet for lunch at 5 pm.

Sonic and Leah: Yes dad.

The blonde girl,Hedgehog and their parents parted ways and made way into the carnival.

Sonic's POV 

We finally gotten into the carnival and after catching up with Zac, we go to a game where you have to throw balls at a pile of cups.

Zac: Come on you two, give it a try.

I let my sister go first and she got all the cups down in one try! It was my turn and I got the same results as my sister. We both won top prizes, My sister chose the glass bottle, hers was purple and I chose the same thing except my glass bottle was blue. Zac gave us walkie-talkies so we can talk to each other, then the three of us went our separate ways. I went to check out the rest of the carnival.

Sonic: I gotta say this, this is one amazing carnival.

That's when I saw a cloaked person, when I called to him or her they made a run for it, so I ran after them using my Super Peel Out.

Leah's POV 

I made it to a fun house and saw these mirrors that make you look funny. I called Zac but it sounds like I caught him eating funnel cake,so I decided to talk to my little brother.

Leah: Hey Sonic, where are you?

Sonic: I'm in a haystack maze.

Leah: Are you lost?

Sonic: Well it's a possible-yes.

I laughed at my brother's sarcasm, Sonic hates getting lost. I looked around the fun house for a way out. When I thought I saw smoke coming from my necklace but I figured it was my imagination. I looked at it as it was glowing pink and shaking frequently. I was indoors, no wind. Now I was interested.

Leah: Why not? Maybe it'll work just like in the movies.

I rubbed the bottle on my necklace. Nothing happened.

Leah: Heh, well, it was worth a shot.

Suddenly, bottle began to levitate into the air as purple smoke poured out of it. I coughed and tried to look up to see what was going on. When I opened my eyes, I stared in awe at what stood before me.

Pink girl: I'm Shimmer!

Blue girl: I'm Shine!

Both: Your genies divine! Boom Zarhramay, your best friends are here to stay!

I just looked in awe as they hugged me and looked at me with curiosity. I wasn't sure how to react.

Pink girl: How about another hug?

They hugged me again, I still wasn't sure if they were real or just a part of the fun house.

Blue girl: It's just so nice to finally meet you!

Leah: Yeah, you too... who are you?

Shimmer: I'm Shimmer.

Shine: I'm Shine.

Shimmer and Shine: Your Genies Divine!

Leah: Did... you...just...say...genies?!

Shine: That's right.

Shimmer: We're here to grant you three wishes a day.

Leah: are they genies too?

Shimmer: No, they are our pets. This little monkey is mine, her name is Tala.

Shine: And this is Nahal, my pet tiger.

Leah: T...T...Tiger?!

Shine: Yes, but don't be scared she's very friendly.

Something tells me that these girls might be messing with me so I started to back up slowly away from them.

Leah: So are you girls part of the fun house?

Shine: What's a fun house?

Shimmer: I have no idea, but it sounds like fun.

The two girls laughed. Who ever hired these two must have a really good talent of acting, then a question came up to me.

Leah: If you really are genies, why do I get two of you? Don't people usually get one genie?

Shine: Well we're twin sisters, so we do everything...

Shimmer and Shine: Together!

Shimmer: It's double the fun!

Shine: But not double the wishes,you still only get three a day.

I guess it's time to make my exit, these girls are really starting to freak me out. I started to walk backwards slowly and started to touch the mirrors to find a way out of here.

Leah: Well, there no way your genies... Because genies aren't real...  So I think you two are still part of the fun house.

Shimmer: We had a feeling you weren't going to believe we're genies just by telling you.

Leah: I'm listening.

Suddenly, I was teleport-ed to a chair and the girls sang a song,which did convene me that they were real.

Shimmer: So want do you want to wish first, Leah?

Leah: Well...

Sonic's POV 

I had chased that cloaked person right into a haystack maze. Somehow they got away, now I was lost.

Sonic: Next time I get into a maze, I'm bring a GPS and a snack.

After some time I finally gave up on finding the guy and somehow made it out of the maze. That was when a spotted elephant went pass me, and as if by magic it disappeared into thin air. I didn't have time to wonder, I had to meet up with my family for lunch. So I ran at my super sonic speed to a tent that served food.

Jane: There you are Sonic. We were just about to look for you.

John: So how did you two like the carnival?

Leah: It's was amazing!

Sonic: An awesome experience!

Jane: Glad you two loved it. By the way have you two seen a spotted elephant go by?

Leah: Uh...No.

My sister was quick to say that. I wonder what she did and I don't see dotty anymore. But I was too busy eat my chili dogs to figure that out.
