Narrator's POV
The sun shone through the room giving it light and warmth as Leah curled up under the covers snoring quietly. A pair of black orbs glistened beside the bed's side and looked up at Leah's sleeping form. A peach finger poked her leg which hung out from the bed's sheets. Leah reacted by tucking her legs underneath the warm blanket and rolling over to the side opposite of the black orbs. The orbs disappeared and a quiet shuffling noise was heard as two peach hands came from the end of the bed and tugged at the bed's covers before the whole blanket fell off.
Leah: What?! Who? I'm awake! Alright who took my blanket? It's cold!
A collection of high pitched giggles was Leah's answer as her eye's sight caught something moving underneath her bed. A smirk made its way to her face.
Leah: Gee, I wonder who took my blanket because I'm still tired.
Leah made a fake yawn as she jumped back on the bed and rolled over the side, closing her eyes. And that smirk never leaving her face.
Sonic: No! Don't go back to sleep! Wake up! Wake up!
Sonic emerged from underneath the bed and tackled Leah's side from her back.
Sonic: Leah, don't go back to sleep and get up, please?
Sonic started nudging Leah's shoulder and her response was a snore... or was it?
Sonic: Fine! I'll stay here until you get up!
Leah's eyes opened wide as she made a swift move to grab the small light blue hedgehog and started tickling the hedgehog's sides.
Leah: I'm awake!
Sonic: HA! HA! HA! OK! OK! HA! HA! You can let me go now!
Seeing that her little brother had enough Leah let Sonic go.
Leah: I won this morning!
Sonic: Aw,no fair! I'll win next time! Come on, let's go play outside!
Leah: Alright Sonic,just give me some time to get dressed.
Sonic responded by running out the door. Leah smiled to herself as she watched young Sonic run out the door, it has just been four years since that day and already they were brother and sister. Later that day Sonic was climbing up a tree and Leah was trying her best to get the hedgehog down when Zac came up. Zac was amazed when Leah told him she'd gotten a pet hedgehog.
Zac: Hey Leah,what's up?
Leah: *to Zac* My hedgehog's in a tree. *to Sonic* Young hedgehog get down from there!
Sonic: Wee! Hey, you guys look like ants down there.
Zac: Don't worry Leah: I know how to get him down.
Sonic: Nothing will get me down from this tree! Nothing!
Zac: Not even chili dogs will get you down?
Sonic: On second thought, I'm coming down.
Sonic jumps down from the tree and Leah catches him.
Leah: Thank you Zac.
Zac: Hey, that's what friends are for. They help each other.
Leah,Zac and Sonic later were playing hide and seek. Leah was it and had already found Zac and the two were looking for Sonic.
Zac: Where do you think he might be?
Leah: I don't know but we're going to find him.
Leah and Zac searched everywhere in Leah's house. They checked the kitchen,Leah's bedroom,the living room, and the backyard. At last they gave up.
Zac: We checked everywhere Leah, tell Sonic that the game is over.
Leah: Alright. Ok Sonic we give up! Where are you?
Hearing that his sister and her friend gave up, Sonic came out of nowhere and pounced on her sister.
Sonic: Yeah! I win again!
Leah: Seriously Sonic, where do you go to hide?
Sonic: Sorry Leah, but there are some secrets you can't even share with your brother.
4 years had passed and Sonic was now eight years old. It was Christmas, Leah and Sonic were opening their presents.
Sonic: Hey there's one more.
Leah: That one is for you Sonic.
Sonic opens the last present and he sees the red shoes,gloves,rings and the big gem.
Leah: These items were with you when you were brought to me. I kept them in a safe place until you were eight years old.
Sonic: Cool! *puts the red shoes and gloves on* Thank you sister! *hugs Leah*
Leah:*Hugs Sonic back* Your welcome little brother.
