Chapter 9: What a Pig Mess

Narrator's POV

Today was another beautiful day in Greenwood, Zac was showing off his racetrack to Leah and Sonic, who had food for the party.

Zac: Hey guys, check at this racetrack I made for the party. Pretty awesome huh?

Leah: It's super awesome Zac.

Sonic: Not bad.

Zac: Actually when I'm behind the wheel can you call me super speedy Zac? It makes me a real racer.

Leah: Sure, super speedy Zac.

Sonic: I don't know about the name, it just doesn't roll off the tongue. 

Zac sniffs Leah's covered tray

Zac: I know that smell!

Leah: I made your favorite for the party.

Zac: Pigs in a blanket, yes! I'll be digging into those as soon as I cross the finish line.

Zac goes into his toy car and starts to drive around his race course. Then Rocket (Zac's dog) Started to sniff and tried to eat the Pigs in a blankets.

Leah: Rocket!

Sonic: Rocket, no!

Then there was trouble, Leah and sonic tripped on the cones, the pigs in a blanket flew in the air and hit the ground with a bump. Rocket caught one and ate it, Zac saw the food in his way, he tried to stop but it was too late.

Zac: Leah, are you ok?

Leah: I'm fine, just a little tangled up. Where's Sonic?

Sonic: Over here. I'm real tangled.

Zac helps untangle the two siblings.

Leah: Sorry about your racetrack.

Zac: Don't be, the track looks better with the obstacles you two threw in. And by the way I totally crushed it. Bring on the pigs in a blanket.

Sonic: Yeah... about that...

Leah: That kind of got crushed too.

Zac: Sorry about that Leah, maybe we could just eat around the tire marks. See, problem solved. *tries to eat one of the pigs in a blanket* Ugh, I was wrong.

Leah: It's ok, I can just make more before the party starts. I'm pretty sure I have a box left. 

Zac: And I'll make the best racetrack you've ever seen, with speed bumps, hurls and mabye an elephant. I don't know there are so many options. I need to write them all down.

Sonic: But in the meantime, you can try one of my chili dogs.

Zac eats one of Sonic chili dogs, when he finds out they are really spicy.

Zac: Hot! So hot! Well I better get a move on see ya guys.

Zac hurries away leaving Sonic and Leah alone.

Leah and Sonic: Bye Zac.

Sonic and Leah hurry over to their house hoping they had more pigs in a blanket. But when they got home, they found out they didn't have any more.

Leah: Looks like I'm not bring pigs in a blanket to the party. Guess I'm out of luck.

Sonic: But your not out of wishes. Maybe shimmer and shine can help.

Leah: Great idea.

Leah rubs her genie bottle and in a few moments, Shimmer and Shine come out from the bottle. Nahal and Tala hang over the sink.
