Chapter 4: Sonic's Secret Genies

Sonic's Pov

I was just watching TV when the the door bell rang. I opened it and was shocked to Leah, my sister had a case around her arm.

Sonic: Leah, What happened?!

Leah: Me and Zac were playing on the swings, trying to see who could go higher. When Annie, did a stunt that impressed Zac and called me a chicken. Now you know I'm a sensible girl but since she dared me to do it so I did the stunt and it didn't go so good.

Sonic: That's terrible! You've should haven't have done that!

Leah: I know and could you help me to my room?

I pick up my sister and carried her to her room putting her down gently. Then I hurried to my room and started thinking what to do.

Sonic: Man, I wish I could do something to help me sister.

Suddenly, I thought I saw smoke coming from my necklace but I figured it was my imagination. I looked at it as it was glowing blue and shaking frequently. I was indoors, no wind. Now I was interested.

Sonic: Why not? Maybe it'll work just like in the movies.

I rubbed the bottle on my necklace. Nothing happened.

Sonic: Heh, well, it was worth a shot.

Suddenly, bottle began to levitate into the air as blue smoke poured out of it. I coughed and tried to look up to see what was going on. When I opened my eyes, I stared in awe at what stood before me. There were two girls, one has fair skin, hot pink hair and blue eyes. She wears a light purple genie outfit with matching shoes and jewelry, and a purple belt with a loose belt tab. The other girl has blue hair in a high ponytail curving upward at the ends and big, purple eyes. She has a golden band on her forehead with a pink gem hanging between her blue eyebrows. She also wears a bright teal colored- outfit with a darker ribbon at the waist. The short sleeves on her shirt have gold cuffs on them. Her pants have white pearls at the bottom. She also wears a pair of gold shoes.

Pink girl: I'm Shimmer!

Blue girl: I'm Shine!

Both: Your genies divine! Boom Zarhramay, your best friends are here to stay!

Genies they say and I freeze. Leah read me stories about genies, dragons and other myths. But we could both agree that they weren't real, but seeing these two it turned out we were wrong. I must have been stunned some time because the pink girl started waving her hands at me.

Pink girl: Hello? Is anyone there?

I nod in response to her question, stopping me from my thoughts.

Sonic: So anyway... Who are you?

Shimmer: I'm Shimmer.

Shine: I'm Shine.

Shimmer and Shine: Your Genies Divine!

Sonic: Genies?

Shine: That's right.

Shimmer: We're here to grant you three wishes a day.

Sonic: OK... Are they genies too.

Shimmer: No, they are our pets. This little monkey is mine, her name is Tala.

Shine: And this is Nahal, my pet tiger.

Sonic: Tiger?!

Shine: Yes, but don't be scared she's very friendly.

Sonic: If you really are genies, why do I get two of you? Don't people usually get one genie?

Shine: Well we're twin sisters, so we do everything...
