*BEEP* *BE -- *

I was already awake. I was sitting on the edge of my bed, already dressed, already fed, already, well, ready to leave. It had been about three weeks since I found out about my ability, and, frankly, I was tired. It's been Today for twenty-four days. I didn't even know if today would be the last Today I would deal with. Just how long would it take for me to move on to Tomorrow?

I stood up, numbly staring ahead as I started walking. I didn't bother closing any doors behind me or turning any lights off like I normally would. I walked straight past the coffee maker and the cup that had been refilled and emptied five times that Today. Every joint in my body felt like they'd been strained beyond their limit, and my muscles felt stretched - every single one. My body felt like a dog's chew toy; Time itself had played with me for far too long, but here I was walking right back into the fray.

I got into the driver's seat of my van. I looked at myself in the rearview mirror. I sighed.

"Just one more."

I pulled out of my driveway with purpose.

*BEEP* *BE -- *

It's been Today for a total of two months.

I didn't even get ready. I left the house in my PJs.

I pulled out of my driveway with purpose.

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

"You have to be kidding me!" I shrieked in anger, ignoring my alarm entirely.

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

I kicked a shoe that was laying on the floor as I continued to scream. "I've been reliving the same day for half a year, and I didn't notice that the floor was wet in that one corner! I died hitting my head on the corner of a table?!?!?!"

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

"Damn it!"

I grabbed my phone, throwing it through the window and into the street, shattered glass following behind it.

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *be -- * *b -- * * -- *

I run a hand through my hair one last time before going outside and getting into my van.

"Don't forget the damn puddle this time, Jamie..."

I pulled out of my driveway with purpose.

----------------------------------

*BEEP* *BE -- *

I was already sitting in the bank's parking lot with my phone having gone off in the passenger's seat.

It's been Today for a year. I'd been shot, hit in the head, stabbed with window glass, ran over by a van, electrocuted from a combination of water and an office lamp, and so much more.

I gripped my steering wheel with white knuckles.

"Just one more time..."

I strode into the bank with purpose.

----------------------------------

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

I'd been lying awake for hours. I stared up at the ceiling. I didn't even feel the tears on my face anymore as I let my alarm continue to scream.

'When will it end.........?'

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

'Why can't this just be over with............?'

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

'How long has it even been.........?'

My alarm snoozed itself. I forced myself to sit up. I glanced around my room, my gaze freezing on the world outside my window. It was so bright and beautiful. I rubbed my tears away, listening to a bird chirping outside. I took a shaky breath.

"I can't leave them alone. I can do this."

I got out of bed. I got in my van. I drove to the bank. I stood in front of the front door.

I forced a smile onto my face.

"Just one more day."
