You all didn't think that I was just gonna ignore the events of Takeover: Vengeance Day, did you? Of course I was going to write a one shot, I just wanted to wait till after NXT last night to make sure that my story would fit.

Hope you guys will like this and hopefully makes you all a little less sad about our boys breaking up

You watched as your brother Adam Cole gave Kyle a kick to the face. You knew it broke Adam's heart, even though he was too good of a performer to show it.

Kyle was his absolute best friend around here. Sure, he was close with all of his team members from the Undisputed Era but Kyle meant more to him, and to you.

You've had a crush on Kyle for years now, ever since the Undisputed Era was first created and your brother was well aware of this since you had told him about it yourself.

Of course Adam didn't like it at first as the two of you were very close and he felt protective of you but he quickly accepted it and even became your biggest supporter on this matter. After all, if his sister needed to date someone, he would be glad if it was someone that he already viewed as brother anyway.

When the creative team pitched this storyline though, your brother didn't hesitate to take it. A high-profile feud and championship opportunity. Most people thought that was the reason why Adam had said yes but you knew that wasn't why he had done it.

You waited for everyone backstage as you were sure all Undisputed Era members were struggling with this story. They knew you would be here as well since it was no secret that you were very close with all of your brother's team mates.

"You okay?" You asked Adam when he came backstage first.

"No, I'm not sis." Adam shook his head "But you know why I had to. I think I'm going to take a shower if you don't mind."

"Go, I'll make sure the guys are okay." You nodded, knowing that he needed some time alone now.

Once Adam left to take a shower Roderick came backstage "Damn that felt wrong."

"I know Roddy, are you okay though?" You asked as you hugged him. "I know that was a tough one for all of you."

"It was but I'm keeping in mind that it is just a storyline." You felt him nod before he let go of your hug "We are still all friends off screen and that's what matters most."

"Are we? Really?" You suddenly heard Kyle speak up "Then why did Adam accept this storyline so quickly?"

"I'll leave this to you." Roderick told you before leaving. Not only did he know about your crush as well, you had also been the voice of reason for the whole team for a while now.

"Why did Adam have to jump at the opportunity Y/N?" He asked again as he looked at you with hurt in his eyes. You hated seeing him heartbroken like this.

"You really don't know?" You asked him "He did it for you silly."

"So you're saying that he accepted doing this storyline where he has to give me a kick to the face multiple times, for my own sake?"

You had to try not to either laugh or slap him for this lack of fate in your brother. "He knew that if he didn't take it that they would give it to someone else. This way at least he gave you the grounds for a title feud with him down the line once he takes it from Finn. Do you think that if they would have given it to Bobby or Roddy that you would still have this much ground for a feud? No if it had been Bobby or Roddy betraying the team, Adam would have gotten that feud since he is the leader."

"So you say that he did it knowing I could have a feud with him down the line?"

"See, now you get it." You playfully pushed his arm "Now stop being mad at my brother, he is struggling hard enough as it is."

You and Adam watched with a smile as Kyle and Roderick cut an awesome promo on the angle of last Sunday. You were backstage looking at everything on the monitor in catering.

"So, Kyle told me that the two of you talked about the angle." Adam started

"We did, he didn't get why you had taken the storyline so I helped him understand." You confirmed "He didn't realize that you were only doing this so he can have grounds for another title feud with you down the line."

"I know, he told me everything." Adam elbowed you gently "Called you amazing even."

"I am pretty sure I qualify as an amazing friend, yes." You joked.

"No sis." Adam shook his head. "He said, and I quote. 'Man, I swear your sister is amazing'. He didn't use the word friend."

"Well, I still think he meant it that way. Now if you will excuse me, Roddy and Kyle are about to come back and it is my unofficial job to wait for them at the gorilla in case they need my support."

"Sure." Adam chuckled "Go do your thing and be our, or should I say his, biggest cheerleader"

You rolled your eyes but couldn't help chuckling a little as well as you made your way to the gorilla position.

You were just in time as they walked backstage at the same time you got there. "You guys did great."

"Thanks Y/N, excuse me but I have to go do something real quick." Roderick tapped your shoulder before leaving. It was weird since he would usually talk with you for a moment

"Well, that was odd. Why did he run off all of the sudden?" You asked Kyle

"So I could do this." Was the answer you got before Kyle suddenly pulled you into a kiss.

It was better than you had imagined and when he broke the kiss to press your foreheads together, you couldn't help but giggle.

"Be mine, baby." He said more than asked as he looked at you like you were precious.

All you could do was nod as you wanted to kiss him again. But of course that is when your, now annoying, brother decided to interrupt as he said with a smile.

"You better be good to her, O'Reilly. Because if not, I will have a reason to give you a legit kick to the face."
