Kelly pov,
I walked around backstage with a giddy smile on my face, I had only been a wrestler at the WWE for two months so I was still in the newbie-phase. None of my colleagues seemed to mind and I had been told that this happened with every new person on the roster so they were kind of used to it. I wasn't the first and definitely wouldn't be the last.
My first two months had been kind of a whirlwind. I had build up quite a fanbase and was having a minor feud and I had made loads of friends within my circle of colleagues. Unfortunately it hadn't been all good and I also already had an ex boyfriend at this point and it was none other than Seth Rollins
The moment I had joined the roster I gained a lot of attention from the single males, one of them being Seth Rollins. Of course I had said yes when he asked me out because duh he was Seth Rollins of all people. He was handsome, a great wrestler and seemed to be nice to boot. But even though things were fun for the first few dates I soon realised that we just didn't fit with each other. Where I was laid back and enjoyed a beer from time to time, he always wanted to go to an expensive restaurant and always insisted on champagne.
I had also noticed that he wasn't nearly as thoughtful and romantic as I thought he would be. Don't get me wrong i'm very much for equality and I didn't mind to be the thoughtful one every once in a while and pay for dates. But he never even held a door for me or pulled my chair back for me at a restaurant. I always had been a sucker for small gestures like that.
That's why I had broken things off between us a few weeks ago, before either of us could fall too far or get too attached. However Seth didn't seem to know what a break up meant as he still kept bothering me afterward. Either he didn't get the message of 'this isn't working' or he had chosen to ignore it completely. It had been working on my nerves for the last few shows.
"Hey babe." Seth said as he came over in a classic case of 'speak of the devil' or in this case 'think if the devil'
"I'm not your babe Seth, I told you. It didn't work out between us so please just let it go."
"You don't mean that Kells, we just need a little bit more time to get you on my wavelength."
"This." I immediately point out to him "This is why it didn't work. You talk about how I should be getting on your wavelength when a relationship is all about meeting each other halfway. It's give and take, not expecting to get everything. You are so insensitive and self centered Seth, you only think about yourself. Now please just leave me alone."
"Insensitive? Didn't I take you to all those nice restaurants?" He asked and it annoyed me that he didn't get it.
"They were lovely but you never paid enough attention to see that I was way out of my element there. I'd much rather go to a bar for a few beers and eat a few taco's from a street truck, that's my wavelength Seth." I tried explaining to him. " We are just too different Seth, but I really do hope you'll find someone who is on your wavelength."
I tried to walk away but seth grabbed my arm and wasn't too gentle about it "You are such an unthankful bitch Kelly."
Guess I had been really wrong about that 'seemed to be nice to boot' judgement when we had met each other two months ago.
"Seth let me go." I tried to get him to let go as I already know he would leave a bruise "You're hurting me."
"No way, you can't expect me not to get mad at you being so unthankful."
I was pretty sure that I wouldn't get out of this easily so I was relieved when a voice spoke up suddenly "She said let go Rollins." It was Drew McIntyre who had heard the commotion and had been following the conversation from a distance.
"Stay out of it McIntyre." Seth growled as he tightened his grip even more.
My face contorted with pain and I pleaded "Please just let go Seth."
Before Seth could even refuse or agree Drew had already punched him in his face, which thankfully made Seth let go of my arm.
I started to rub the spot where he had grabbed my arm in the hope that it would relieve the pain a little. While I was focussing on that Drew kept kicking and punching Seth for another few minutes.
After a while he came to my side "Are you alright?"
His accent was so sexy it almost made me forget the pain... almost. But because I didn't trust my voice I just shook my head no
He helped me up gently as he tried to avoid touching the sore part of my arm and started to usher me to the trainers room to get checked out as soon as I got to my feet.
"Asshole, laying his hand on a woman." Drew whispered through gritted teeth as he saw the bruise that was already forming on my arm.
"Ice pack, asap." Drew told the medic as we entered and soon enough Drew was gently holding the ice pack against the bruise.
"Thank you." I smiled at him once the pain had subsided enough for me to relax.
"No problem Kelly, wish I could have prevented this from happening completely."
"Well I appreciate the thought but I didn't realise you knew who I am."
"Course I know, I've been watching your matches. You're good. Id also like to know the real you if that's alright."
"Sure, I'm always happy to make friends."
"Actually I was thinking more along the lines of a date." He smiled at me with a smile that could make panties drop. Damn this man was gorgeous. "those tacos and beers sounded like a great idea."
I giggled and couldn't help but reply with the first thought that crossed my mind
"you had me at Tacos."
