I could already hear the rain crashing against the window as I woke up from an already dreadful sleep. Apparently the weather decided to match my mood. I hadn't seen my boyfriend in weeks and today especially sucked since it was his birthday and we couldn't spend it together.

I knew Leati couldn't help it. His role in the WWE as the tribal chief Roman Reigns and the undisputed world heavyweight champion was extremely important and I had known that since we first started dating. It wasn't like he prioritized his job. On the contrary he called and facetimed me as often as he could while on the road but facetiming was still not the same as actually having him here.

I sat up slowly and glanced at the bedside table on Leati's side. His birthday gift was sitting on top of it. I had also already sent a small gift to the hotel he was staying at but this one was his real gift, which I wanted to give to him personally.

A few minutes later, as I was about to start on breakfast, my phone started to ring. Once I saw his name on the screen, I immediately picked up.

"Good morning baby, happy birthday."

"Morning lo'u fetu, did you sleep well?"

"Not really." I admitted, knowing he could hear the tiredness in my voice anyway.

"You haven't slept well in a while now, have you? Have you seen a doctor about it." Leati sounded worried and I hated making him feel that way.

"I have, don't worry." I assured him. "They didn't find anything wrong. I probably just miss you."

"I guess it's a good thing then." He suddenly sounded cheerful.

"What is?" I asked confused.

"Why don't you open the door and find out?"

He didn't have to tell me twice as I sprinted to the front door and flung it open to reveal him standing there with that goofy smile on his face I love so much. "Surprise."

I flung my arms around him and hugged him as tightly as I could. "You're here."

"I'm here." He sighed in relief as he hugged me back. "I missed you like crazy."

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming home? If I had known you would be here I'd have baked you something." I berated him.

Leati chuckled "I just wanted to surprise the woman I love, is that a crime?"

"Well if you put it like that." I relented easily. I always did when it came to him. "At least now we can celebrate your birthday together. What do you want to do?"

"Well we aren't doing anything till you get some decent sleep." He said in a tone that booked no argument. "You always say you sleep better when I'm with you so we are going to put that to the test and besides, I wouldn't be able to enjoy my birthday anyway as long as I'm worried about you. You're precious to me."

"You are adorably sweet. You know that right?" I asked him. "Alright, it's your birthday so you call the shots today."

Before I had the chance to start moving he had already lifted me in his arms bridal style, turning me into a giggling mess.

I held onto his broad shoulders as he carried me up the stairs, to our bedroom. Once there he gently put me back on my feet before nodding to the wrapped gift on his nightstand. "I thought you said you didn't have anything planned."

"Yeah well I sent a gift to your hotel but this one I wanted to give you in person whenever you'd be home." I explained before making him sit down and handing it to him. "Read the card first."

"As you wish." Leati smiled softly before opening the card on top first and reading it aloud.

"Happy birthday my love, I hope that your day will be as wonderful as you are and that you will be able to celebrate with all the people you love and hold dear. Thank you for being the best thing that happened to me, I love you and trust you with my life. I cant think of anyone Id rather have by my side. Now I know that you're already the tribal chief but soon you'll get another title..."

Leati frowned in confusion as he finished reading and went to open the gift. His confusion quickly changed into awe as he saw what was inside and he looked up at me with damp eyes. "Are you for real?"

I nodded as he took out a small chalkboard that said, 'Positive proof that you'll soon be the worlds best dad.' with the positive pregnancy test taped to the bottom and a little romper that had the words 'Little chief' on it.

"I'm going to be a dad?" He asked again as he placed a hand on my stomach.

"Yes my love, in a little under 8 months we'll get to be parents." I said as tears started to well up in my eyes as well.

"So the reason you haven't been sleeping well.."

"Is because of the morning sickness." I nodded. "It started earlier this week."

Leati gently hugged me, his head resting on my stomach as I was still standing. "That is the best gift anyone could have ever given me. I cant wait to meet them. But its also all the more reason why we are staying in this bed as much as we can today you and our baby need proper rest."

I smiled as I gently laid down on the bed with him. "Look at you, taking care of us already."

Leati smiled and leaned in for a quick kiss.

"Always, for as long as I live."
