(Request) Set up - Cash Wheeler

Sitting and strumming on my guitar was my idea of heaven, it gave me a way to escape the everyday mundane things in life and go into my own little world, that is until my friends decide to invade my me-time however.

On this occasion the friend in question was Sasha which I really didn't mind since she never tried to set me up on dates, whereas Charlotte just wouldn't seem to give up.

"So are we expecting Charlotte anytime soon?" Sasha asked as I mindlessly strummed my guitar.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up." I chuckled lightly.

As if on cue I heard the familiar click of Charlotte's heels as she walked over to us.

"Hey ladies, how are you doing?" She asked as she wrapped an arm around each of us.

"I'm good thank you sweetie." Sasha said giving her a side hug.

"I'm good too, just chilling with my guitar as always." I smiled at her.

The look on her face tells me exactly what she is going to say next.

"By the way Anna." Charlotte spoke. "My fiancé has this colleague and he would just be perfect for you."

"Char! You really need to stop trying to set me up." I groaned as I sat up and put my guitar aside. "It has never worked out."

"Or may you are just being too picky" Sasha stated.

"Oh please let me try one more time." Charlotte begged. "I really feel like this one might be Mr. Right for you."

"You said that about the last 3 people you tried to set me up with." I pointed out to her.

"Okay so how about we cut a deal Anna?" She suggested. "You go on a date with him and if it really doesn't work out I will never try to set you up with someone again."

"oh go on give her one last chance." Sasha pleaded along with her.

"You promise?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I promise." She nodded "cross my heart."

"Okay fine then." I sighed as she clapped her hands excitedly.

"Great I'll go call Andrade." She smiles as she grabbed her phone.

Picking up my guitar I go back to aimlessly strumming and I don't need to look at Sasha to know she is smirking at me.

"And you can wipe that smirk of your face." I said without looking at her. "It won't work out, it never does but at least after this she will stop.

Before I know it Charlotte is back with a huge shit eating grin on her face and I roll my eyes as I put my guitar down once more.

"Alright when and where?" I sighed.

"Tomorrow night, the restaurant down the street." She grinned at me.

"Get ready to keep your promise" I chuckled in reply.

The next night

Standing outside the restaurant everything in me wanted to turn around and walk away, I just knew this was going to go badly, although Charlotte meant well, she isn't the best at picking men for me. Taking a deep breath I push open the door and walk in, I approach the waiting point and wait to be seated.

"Table for one?" The waiter asked me.

"Um no two I'm meeting someone here." I explained nervously.

"Name?" he asked me and looked at his chart.

"I think she said his name was Wheeler." I told him, unsure as to what Charlotte has said his name was.

"Ah yes he's already here." The waiter smiled. "He's sat at a table just round the corner."

Thanking the waiter I head round the corner and there is only one table occupied, but he can't possibly be the man I'm meeting, as I take in the handsome muscular man he smiles and stands.

"Are you Anna?" he asked once he was standing.

"I...um...Anna yeah that's me" I confirmed, stumbling over my words as I did.

"I'm Cash it's lovely to meet you" he smiled as he offered me his hand. I placed my hand in his but instead of the handshake I was expecting he lifted my hand to his lips and kissed i, causing my breath to hitch and my heart to skip a beat.

"Here allow me." he said as he pulled out my chair for me. I was honestly blown away by how much of a gentleman he turned out to be, oh please don't let this be an act.

"Thank you." I smiled as I sat down. He pushed my chair in before he returned to his own seat.

"So Andrade tells me you're a musician." He spoke up.

"Yeah I play guitar, it's like my escape from the real world." I said as I blushed slightly.

"Well maybe you could play for me sometime." he smiled and I suddenly feel like I have a swarm of butterflies in my stomach.

"Sure I'd love to." I agreed, surprising myself with my response.

As the evening progressed, the conversation flowed easily and I find myself really liking Cash. He's gorgeous, sweet and a complete gentleman. If I'm honest I'd say he was just as nervous as I was and I found that adorable. I found that we had a lot in common and I really wanted to see him again after tonight, I just had to hope he wanted to see me again.

Cash asked for the cheque and I went to get my purse out of my bag but he placed his hand over mine to stop me. "It's my treat, I insist." He smiled.

"Well if you're sure." I said putting my purse away.

Once he paid we headed out of the restaurant together. Stopping just outside, Cash took my hands in his and smiled nervously.

"I know that your last few dates didn't go well but I am really hoping this one did." he said nervously "Because I had a really nice time tonight, I like you Anna and I would really like to see you again."

"I'd like that too." I smiled back "To be honest I wasn't expecting this to work out as well as it did, but I like you too Cash and I had a great time tonight."

Cash took a step closer to me and cupped my cheek before he pressed his lips against mine in the most mind-blowing kiss I have ever experienced, I didn't want it to end but all too soon it does and when I open my eyes he is smiling at me.

"Until next time Anna." he said before he pressed once last kiss to my lips. After that he left in the opposite direction to me.

One thing was for sure, after tonight Charlotte would absolutely not be setting you up on anymore dates.
