You were getting ready to go on a walk with your dog. An adorable pug you had named Pugsy.
Pugsy was running around excitedly by your feet as you grabbed his leash and ball. The ball you put in your bag before squatting down to attach the leash to Pugsy's collar.
"Want to say hello to Dotty first?" You asked him. It was one of your habits, talking to your dog like he could understand you. You just couldn't help yourself.
You led your dog downstairs with you, down to the little café you lived on top of, the little café you were the owner of.
You had moved to St. Louis, Missouri about 6 months ago and had put all your savings into buying your café with apartment above it. It was one of the best decisions you had ever made. You loved owning and working in the café and much to your surprise, your café had become very popular in a short amount of time.
Dotty, or Dorothy actually, managed things when you had your days off, she had been a great help to you ever since you had moved here. She had immediately made you feel welcome and now she was one of your closest friends.
You entered the café with Pugsy and you were immediately greeted by some of your regulars with warm smiles and hellos from multiple directions.
You greeted them back one by one as you made your way over to Dorothy.
"Y/N! Hi." She smiled warmly at you. "On your way to take little Pugsy for a walk I assume?"
"You assumed correctly." You told her with a nod "But we wanted to check in with you first. How's it going today Dotty?"
"It's going well. The morning rush was crazy though, maybe we should hire some extra help for the rush hours?" She suggested almost hesitantly to you. Dorothy was a great person and she could be very loud and extroverted if she wanted to but she also never wanted to make people feel bad or step on anyone's toes so when it came to work, she was very shy about her suggestions.
"Sounds great. Think you can handle finding someone?" You asked her with a smile and hoped that it would show her that you trusted her.
"Really? I can hire someone?" She asked you in disbelief.
"Of course, you're my friend and I wouldn't have made you manager if I didn't trust you. I'm sure you will find us someone great." I assured her and it really seemed to ease her mind. "Think you have time to make me a Frappuccino to go before that though?"
"Of course." Dotty nodded before getting right to work on making you your drink.

A few minutes later you were walking down the street. For a moment you looked at the Zoo. It was one of the reasons why your café was so successful, it was located near the Saint Louis Zoo.
You only noticed how little attention you were paying to your surroundings when Pugsy, despite his size, actually managed to pull you forward. The sudden movement made you lose balance and stumble, right into a chest.
"I am so sorry." You immediately apologized as you had spilled your Frappuccino all over him.
"It's okay." The man spoke with a deep voice and when you looked up you were struck by how handsome he was. "Accidents happen."
"Still, I feel bad. Is there any way I could make it up to you?" You asked the man.
The man looked back at you hesitantly, like he was doubting your intentions. "I don't know..."
Suddenly a young girls voice interrupted you right as you were about to reply "Dad. What happened? I was at the entrance already but you weren't there."
