Lorelai Pov,

I calmly woke up from a good night's rest, I loved waking up well rested only to stay in bed a little longer to cuddle with my boyfriend. Today was different though as when I reached over to his side of the bed, it was already empty.

It was weird as Adam usually never woke up before me.

I decided to shrug it off and get dressed, maybe he was just making us breakfast after all.

Once in the small kitchen of our hotel suite however, I noticed that wasn't the case either. The kitchen seemed untouched except for the note on the counter

'Babe,

Gone to the gym with Roddy for an early workout. Don't know when I will be back since I've got some errands to run after. I'll see you at the arena later today

love, Adam'

Weird, it was nothing like him to want to go for an early workout. Adam was a lot of things but a morning person he was not.

I shrugged it off once again and went down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, hoping that my twin sister Dakota would at least be there.

Dakota wasn't in the restaurant but to my surprise however, Roderick was there.

I decided to go and sit with him as I felt like there was something fishy going on. "Hey Roddy."

Roderick smiled as you sat down "Lori, my favorite Kai sister. How are you today, where's Adam?"

"I'm good but I actually came to ask you the same thing. He said he was going to the gym with you for an early morning workout,"

"What? Adam wanting to work out before 11 p.m.? That's something I'd like to see."

"So, if he wasn't with you, where is he and why is he lying about it?" I started to get mad.

"Easy Lori, I'm sure Adam has a very good reason." Roderick tried to calm you "You know he loves you more than anything."

"Of course. I'm just worried cause he has been acting strange, that's all."

Even though I said that, I couldn't help but wonder about what Adam would be doing so I decided to send him a text.

'Hey love, just wanted to check in on how far you are with those errands. x'

Later that day I decided to meet up with my sister for a run. We loved to run together as it also gave us the opportunity to talk.

"So, has Adam said anything to Kyle?" I asked her as we ran through a park "He has been acting strange today. Woke up before me, lied about where he went and he is ignoring my texts. It's like he's avoiding me or something."

"Not that I know of but I'm sure everything is fine. Maybe he's just stressed since creative plans on breaking up the undisputed era." Dakota suggested and I would have agreed if it wasn't for what I saw next.

I stopped in my tracks as I saw Adam walking alongside another woman. They both had smoothies in hand as the woman laughed at something Adam said.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I felt my heart break into a million pieces. I rushed back to the hotel before Dakota could even say or do anything.

By the time it was time for the NXT tapings, I had completely numbed myself. I had shut down all my emotions as I didn't know how else to get through this night.

Dakota rushed to my side as soon as she saw me "Are you okay Lor?"

"No, but I have a match against Martinez tonight so I better get my act together."

"You sure it's wise to do that match tonight?" I appreciated that my sister was looking out for me but I knew that a match against a tough opponent was exactly what I needed now.

"I'm sure, I have a lot of anger that needs to be released."

Dakota nodded and decided to just let me get ready.

Once I was ready and it was time for my match I got into character and acted like nothing was wrong.

My fighting style was noticeably more aggressive though and after a little over 20 minutes I had pinned her for the win.

I knew it was time for the closing segment of the show now and I also knew that it was the Undisputed Era who were the main focus of that segment.

I walked back up the stage as they walked to the ring. I didn't look at them, wanted to pretend that they weren't even here but as I reached the top of the stage Adam called my name. "Lorelai."

Against my own better judgement, I looked back at Adam and the guys in the ring.

"Why don't you join us for this babe?" Adam asked as he held the ropes open for me.

I looked at him suspicious but since the crowd called for me to join Adam and the guys in the ring as well, I obliged.

I walked back to the ring and got inside as I thought 'I am so breaking up with him after this'.

"Most of you know by now that I have been dating this beautiful lady for a while now." Adam started and got a cheer from the crowd over it. "However, I owe her an apology. Lor, I'm so sorry for acting strange today. I know it must have driven you mad."

I nodded as it had done exactly that, drive me mad.

"I love you so much Lor, you mean more to me than anything. I wish I could give you the world and even if I could that still would never be good enough. The only thing I can give you is my heart as it beats only for you."

As Adam got down on one knee and I finally understood where this was going, I got tears in my eyes again. This time around though, they were happy tears.

Adam held up a box with a beautiful diamond ring in it. "My sweet, beautiful Lorelai, would you please do me the honor of spending an eternity by your side? Will you marry me?"

Kyle winked at me as he held the microphone in front of my mouth so that I could answer. "Yes!"

Adam placed the ring around my finger before hugging me. In this moment I could forget about the anger I had felt just minutes ago.

I realized everyone had been in on it as the whole NXT locker room was waiting to congratulate us backstage.

Even though I loved all of this I couldn't help but wonder though "Adam, who was that woman in the park earlier."

"She, love, was a real estate agent. I figured my fiancé and I should get a bigger house. You know, just in case we ever have a family extension."

In that moment I couldn't do anything but kiss the man, he had really thought of everything. I loved him with all my heart and forgave him for acting weird in an instant.
