(Request) Oblivious in Imagination - Roman Reigns

You had just come backstage after finishing your match against Macey, known as Lacey Evans in the ring. You both had put on a really good match with you gaining the upper hand in the end.

"Well I don't know about you Hun, but after a nice shower I'm off to the hotel and to bed after that one." Macey said as she fell into step besides you. 

"I'm right there with you." You agreed with her. "On the showering part at least, I didn't have time to eat before our match so I'll stop at catering first. But I'll try to be quiet when I get to the room."

Off camera the two of you had become vast friends and the two of you would even often share a hotel room, as you were currently doing as well. Unlike her heel character on screen, off screen she was a kind, generous and hard-working person with a big heart.

The two of you made your way to the female locker room so you could both get showered and changed. It didn't take long for either of you to do just that and not even 15 minutes after entering the locker room you had parted ways with your friend.

It was only a short walk to catering but as you arrived you saw that all the tables were occupied. You were deciding who to join when you heard someone call to you. 

"Y/N. Babygirl." 

You turned to see Joe, known to fans as Roman Reigns, not too far from you and walked over with a smile. His cousin Joshua, or Jey Uso, and their friend Rami, aka Sami Zayn, were sitting at the table with him so you decided to greet them all. "Hey guys."

"Join us." Roman smiled as he pointed to the empty seat beside him.

You sat down thankfully as your legs had started to feel the effect of your match "Thanks, my legs were starting to feel that match."

"Well for what its worth, it was a really good match."

"Well I'm sure most of that was Macey's doing." You replied, feeling like she deserved at least half of the credit for the match.

"No really Babygirl, you were really good out there." Roman emphasized. "Anyway besides the match, did you have a good day?"

"I did actually. I went to see a movie. They had this special screening of the Crow earlier today. Of course I had to go alone though since Macey doesn't like those kind of movies."

"Well maybe I could join you next time." Joe suggested to you.

"Sure, you guys can all join me." You smiled. "The more the merrier."

It seemed like Joe wanted to reply but at that moment your stomach started to rumble. You felt yourself blush slightly from the embarrassment as you realized that you had completely forgot about eating.

Roman just chuckled and got up "Let me get you some food Babygirl."

As he walked away Joshua and Remi started sniggering.

"What?" You asked them.

"Nothing, its just funny how you don't seem to notice something so obvious." Rami explained.

"What's obvious?" You asked him genuinely confused 

"You really are oblivious, aren't you Uce?" Joshua just flat out laughed now.

"You know what? I honestly don't feel like getting insulted and called dumb." You told them annoyed as you got up.

You turned away from the table just as Joe walked over with your food. His face falling as soon as he saw your expression "What's wrong Babygirl?"

"Ask them." You pointed to Joshua and Rami before walking off.

Roman pov,

"What did you guys do?" I asked them calmly before looking at Joshua. "Have you been a hothead again?"

"I'm not a hothead Uce." He started defending himself.

Rami joined in on the defense as well "He really wasn't a hothead, this time. This was more of a... miscommunication. A misunderstanding so to say."

"Well then, start making me understand."

"Well we know you like her Uce." Joshua started. "We just thought it was funny how she never seems to notice even though there is nothing subtle about it. We meant it in a friendly way but she thought we were messing with her and calling her dumb."

I sighed, of course they would have done something like that. "I'll deal with the both of you later."

As I searched the building for Y/N I thought about what I was going to say to her. It had been true that she had been oblivious to any kind of flirting ever since we had met so maybe it was time to go for the direct approach.

I found her trying to shake a vending machine. Clearly this was a situation where the thing had swallowed money but never giving out the snack that was paid for. "Need some help Babygirl?"

"That depends." She replied. "Are you going to call me dumb as well?"

"I would never." I walked over and gave a good smack to the machine. Her Bounty fell out almost immediately. "And in Rami and Joshua's defense, they didn't call you that either. It's not what they meant."

"Sure sounded like it." she said as she grabbed her Bounty. "Thanks."

"They were actually laughing over another one of my failed attempts." I explained to her which only resulted into a confused look from her.

"Failed attempt at what?"

Believe it or not, the obliviousness made her only more adorable to me. 

"An attempt at asking you out." I clarified as I walked closer to her. "On a date."

Her back hit the wall softly as I was closing in on her. "Asking me out?" It was like that was the oddest thing that had ever crossed her mind.

"Acknowledge me Babygirl." I whispered as I held her chin with my forefinger as a way to keep her eyes on mine. "Can't you really see how much I like you?"

"I have this problem where every time I like a guy, I interpret everything as them flirting with me so I just always just assume." 

I cut her off by pressing my lips on hers. It was meant as a peck but she kept my head close and her mouth on mine as the kiss quickly deepened. The two of us eventually breaking apart for air.

"It was not just your imagination this time."
