"Hoseok-ah!" Someone called at the end of the hallway, urging him to turn away as he shut his locker.

"Yeongsu," He chuckled, smiling at Namjoon who was trailing behind him silently. "Are you guys heading home?"

"Yup!" Yeongsu chimed. "We're going to pick up the second years downstairs and go to an arcade or something, you want to join?"

He nodded, letting a small smile spread across his thin lips as Yeongsu wrapped an arm around his shoulders and led the three of them to the hallways downstairs, where all the second years had their classes.

Yeongsu was overflowing with words, as usual, providing a constant stream of background story he could tune in and out of as he pleased, and Namjoon seemed to be reading some kpop news on his phone. Hoseok felt light, hanging out with these people he barely even knew, like his worries were limited to studying for the exams they shared and who had embarrassed themselves in class.

He hardly remembered the last time he had walked down the hallways with people, with friends. He was usually going to Seokjin's class to hang out with him and his friends, or pull him to the storage room. He felt so utterly stupid for never trying to make friends since his first year. Mid terms were coming up, he was already halfway through his last year of high school, yet he barely felt like he had lived any of it. It all felt like a distant dream he had a hard time recalling.

"Jimin-ah!" Yeongsu yelled into the class, popping his head through the sliding window.

The class turned around, a few murmurs spreading through, probably about how cute of a sunbae Yeongsu was. The class had been a lot more laid back since Leemin and Hanseol had been suspended. People were actually starting to feel safe in their own classes, instead of looking down at their desks in hopes the two terrors wouldn't notice them.

Jimin turned to the window as he finished packing up his things, rolling his eyes at Yeongsu under his bangs, getting up and walking through the desks to join his friends.

A hand wrapped around his wrist. He stopped. His eyes traveled down as the class seemed to quiet down around him, looking at Jungkook, who  packed his things absentmindedly, seemingly oblivious to the complete silence that had now settled in the class as his hand held onto Jimin's wrist.

All eyes were on them, some holding their breaths as they looked at the scene: the top student trying to walk out of the class peacefully and the president of the MCSC holding onto his hand.

Worry spread through their eyes, Leemin and Hanseol had finally been taken care of, was Jungkook going to take over their legacy of terrifying their classmates despite him becoming increasingly tame in the past few months?

Jungkook stood up, slinging his bag over his shoulder and pushing his chair back. He turned to Jimin.

"Let's go," he said, finally letting go of his wrist.

And the class watched with round eyes as they walked out of the class, joining the seniors in the hallways and walking down to the exit. Most of the students peeked their heads out of the window and doors, completely flabbergasted as the five boys trailed down the hall, finally arriving at their final destination, the first year's hall.

"Jaebyul-ah, walk home with us," Yeongsu called to her as they walked down the halls, "We can get ice cream or something."

"It's literally freezing outside," Namjoon deadpanned, slapping the back of his head gently.

"How about tteokbokki then? That ought to warm our insides," he said, using heavy satori and making the rest of the group laugh along to his antics.

Hoseok looked over his shoulder checking if Jimin and Jungkook were still behind them. They were walking side by side, shoulders brushing against each other ever so slightly, Jimin's hands clutching his backpack straps.

"Do you want me to hold it?" Jungkook asked, reaching his hand in front of Jimin.

The older looked up to him with a playful smile, placing his hand in Jungkook's and lacing their fingers together. This made Jungkook's face turn three shades darker as he quickly snapped his hand out of Jimin's grip. He looked around fervently, checking that no one had witnessed their antics. Luckily they were already out of the school perimitters, and he didn't recognise anyone with their school uniform.

"I was talking about your backpack stupid, not your hand," he mumbled.

"My backpack's fine, but my hand is seriously so heavy, can you please hold  it?" Jimin teased, leaning closer to his boyfriend with a coy smile.

Jungkook tried to keep his eyes onto the charms dangling on Hoseok's bag, knowing very well that if he looked down at Jimin he would not be able to resist his puppy eyes. But alas, it was too tempting, and his eyes couldn't help but glance at his boyfriend.

As expected, he was adorable, with sparkly eyes, blinking at him pleadingly, his button nose slightly reddened from the cold and warm smile smile.

"Stop it!" Jungkook said, placing his head smack against Jimin's face and pushing him away.

Jimin giggled, until it slowly faded away as he felt Jungkook's warm hand wrap around his, and shove it in the pocket of his puffer jacket. He looked down at his sneakers, completely taken aback as he felt a soft blush bloom on his cheeks.

As they arrived at the street food stall, Jimin regretfully slid his hand out of Jungkook's pocket to take his scrunchie from the bottom of his bag, quickly running his fingers through his silky black hair and tying it in a small bun atop his head. A few strands fell out of the hairdo, falling over his nose.

Jungkook chuckled, gently tucking the strand behind his ear, to which Jimin flashed him a dazzling smile.

"You two sure got close," Hoseok said, already nibbling on some rice cake.

"They're dating," Yeongsu called from the stand as he took his own tteokbokki stick.

"Really?!" Hoseok and Jaebyul exclaimed, turning to look at the two boys together.

Jungkook looked away embarrassedly, Jimin simply smiling wide as he nodded.

"Yah Jungkook-ah," Hoseok teased, elbowing his side playfully, earning a harsh glare and a slap on the shoulder.

"Here you go," Yeongsu smiled as he handed a tteokbokki stick to both Jimin and Jungkook, breaking off the little argument with Hoseok.

"Mhm," Jimin hummed softly as the spicy flavour spread though his throat.

Jungkok looked down at him, feeling his heart tighten at how cute he looked with his cheeks puffing slightly and his lips tinted red from the sauce.

"You're staring," Namjoon said softly, not wanting to get the attention of both Hoseok and Yeongsu who were,  thankfully, having their own conversation with Jaebyul.

"Shut up."

"Yah!" Jaebyuul yelled, "look at the playground, let's go on the swings!"

She skipped towards the small neighbourhood playground, the boys following after her.

Jimin was about to follow after them as well, but Jungkook grabbed onto his hand, pulling him closer and placing a short peck on his sticky lips. He pulled away slightly, nose still brushing against Jimin's, and licked his lips, eyes never leaving Jimin's.

"I saw that!" Yeongsu yelled.

"S-shut up!" Jimin yelled back, lacing his fingers in Jungkook's and pulling him along to join the rest of their friends.
